me and my fiance have been talking about wedding bands. Tungsten would be good for him since it’s good and tough, and he is very hard on his hands working in construction. He wants us to have matching wedding band metal, and i’m totally fine with that since i tend to abuse my hands quite a bit and i like the simpler bands. Problem is, all the rings i’ve seen online have been quite a bit wider than what i would want for my band, and all of them seem to be made for men. Anyone know if they sell them somewhere/if a place would be able to custom make one for me?

@almostlaroche: I have never seen one marketed directly to women. An etsy seller might could hook you up, though. You’d have to contact him/her directly now, since Alchemy went the way of the dodo

My fiancé and I were looking at Tungsten rings at Kays and asked them if made them for women. The Salesmen said they’re exactly the same as the mens but in woman sizes, at least the ones that they sell. You can look at them on Kays website and I think on Tritons website as well.

@almostlaroche: There are a few on Amazon.com if you search for tungsten wedding band women. They are 4mm wide. Not sure what width you were looking for.

My FI’s tungsten band just arrived today and just to let you know it is quite heavy compared to gold or platinum. I was thinking about a tungsten ring for me as well but the weight of it threw me off a bit. Just an FYI…..but its beautiful :)))))

Yeah I think I have seen them at Kays too, or that you can get them in women sizes!
My husband also went the way of tungsten because he’s an infantry Marine so he needed something tough as nails and he loves his ring, it does great!

We were going to look at Tungsten, but the jeweler where we are picking out our bands said that if you needed to get it off…you can’t cut thru tungsten- you would have to break it off. After FH heard that, he was no way. So if they had to take it off in an emergency, that would have to break it off.

I have seen them as small as 4mm. I bought one off of Amazon and one from JVL Jewelry. It is still thick (IMO) for a woman’s band, but it is actually the same width as my e-ring, so it works for me!
