I would choose tungsten. It is the hardest, almost indestructible metal as of today.

Just be mindful that tungsten does shatter if dopped on a ceramic floor x

We looked at both titanium and tungsten carbide wedding bands for my Fiance.  He chose the tungsten because he said it felt more substantial and durable.  It’s beautiful, too!

@Sunfire:  Ditto. He wanted something that had more weight to it. And goooood morning! 🙂

@WillyNilly:   Good morning to you, too, sweetie!

Yep, we were surprised how lightweight the titanium was, he didn’t like it at all.

How many days away are we?

My Fiance was sold on tungsten from the beginning. He likes that it’s the hardest metal available. Tungsten rings hold up well to scratches etc.

My Fiance got a titanium “practice” ring to get used to wearing jewelry and I can’t believe how scratched it’s become in 1 month. And the scratches on it are very obvious. Ew. Good to know before it’s time to get him a real wedding band, I know it won’t be titanium.

@WillyNilly:   Scared to count, huh?  Lol.

Me too!  Less than two months now for me.  Less than that for you.  But you’ll be ready!

We got titanium because Darling Husband could not imagine wearing something as heavy as the tungsten was. It’s hard enough for men to adjust to wearing rings if they don’t already — if the ring is really heavy it’s even worse!

I’d definitely advise you to go to a jewelry store and have him try on one of each, just to see which he prefers. Darling Husband loves that the titanium is so light he almost can’t feel it at all.

My Fiance wears a titanium ring as an engagement ring right now and it’s really beat up.  He’s only had it a few months.  He chose a tungsten ring, because it’s supposed to be more sturdy.  The tungsten ring is definitely a lot heavier than the titanium, but he’s okay with that.

Tungsten is VERY heavy! My Fiance is getting titanium bc he works in IT and is typing on a computer all day. He said the tungsten would be too heavy for what he does for a living. Have him try on tungsten and titanium in the store. My Fiance was sold on tungsten bc it’s so trendy right now until he tried it on.
