I went out to dinner and out for drinks with about 10 people.  I enjoyed it, but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone! I wouldn’t be so quick to assume that your friends are just looking for a reason to party, they might really think this is something you’ll enjoy even though you don’t think you will right now.  That being said, they still need to respect your wishes.

I can understand not wanting 200 people there, but what about a small girls night or something?  Maybe a little something will help get you out of your end of a decade funk.  I promise though, 30 isn’t so bad!

I will be 30 in December of this year and I am not taking to it lightly. My reasons are completely different though. I thought I would be married, with kids living happily.Instead i’m not even engaged, no kids anytime soon and live in a diff city then my SO. Our relationship is great and we see each other often, but I though I would have so much more in life by 30.

You’re married, tell your friends that you’re not into the whole huge party idea and tell them that you would like to have a small gathering of your closest friends and your husband to celebrate this stage in your life.

Happy Birthday!!! πŸ™‚

I’m so sorry but my first though when I saw the headine was ‘SUCKA!!!!!’  Welcome to the club.  I didn’t do anything for my 30th for the same reason.  Would you be open to a brunch the day after with your closest?

For the record – NO JOKE – in your 30’s, life seems to get better and better each year.  I’m not sure why we thought our 20’s was the pinnacle.  When I look back (turning 33 in two weeks!), my twenties were just an emotional rollercoaster of bad relationships, making stupid mistakes, and living paycheck to paycheck.  EFF THAT.  Now, I get to make the choice of how I spend the money that is safely in my bank account, take vacations that I couldn’t afford before, not have nearly as many hangovers, have deeper relationships with my family and friends, and give myself the credit I deserve.  You’ll come around to 30, I promise.  *hug*

I ran off to the other side of the world for a vacation in Austraila during my 30th birthday so I didnt have a dinner or party or anything!  By the time I got back and the new year started, there was no mention of it.  Perfect.  I dont really celebrate birthdays and sure dont like making a big deal out of getting old milestones now.  πŸ™  Maybe when I’m like 80+, I’ll start celebrating again.  haha

My 30’s have been the best time of my life!  I’ve done so many things that would never have been possible in my 20’s!

Age is a mindset…..I LOVE being in my 30’s….it gets better every year!….

Well I’m only 23, but turning 30 is something that I’m just waiting for. The thirties just seems like such a good time for most ladies I know. I heard a saying once and I think it’s a wonderful one,

“don’t regret growing old, it’s a privilege denied to many.”

I had a massive joint birthday with a friend, hired a limo, had a pre-drinks house bash then off to a club with VIP table for a night of partying and having fun, then I was treated to dinner by my Fiance in the world’s tallest restaurant in Dubai, Burj Khalifa.

It is normal to feel a little over whelmed and depressed, but I just embraced it. I feel like a WOMAN, I am comfortable in my own skin I know what I want, I have grown and I am ready to embrace what my 30’s will bring, I loved being 30, being 31, and I have never felt better πŸ™‚ – Hope you pick up and enjoy it like I did.

Darling Husband and I are both turning 30 next year, and are already dreading it.  Hope you embrace it, and have a good time just the same!
