I always have trouble finding a suit that fits. It is either too small in the chest or too boxy in the waist area.
When looking for a tux to rent, I tried on the Vera Wang black tuxedo at Men’s Wearhouse. It was too boxy for me. Any suggestions on other brands to look at that are slimmer in the waist?

@asianstyles: If you have trouble getting suits to fit, I’d try to buy a vintage tuxedo (I got mine for $140) and have it altered. Buy something with the waist at the right point, and that fits in the shoulders. Everyting else can be altered quite easily. OBviously don’t buy anything too small – the tailor can remove material, but can’t add any.

I don’t know if it’s in your budget, but you can have a really nice suit made for around $600. You could try http://www.indochino.com. My Fiance ordered his wedding suit from there. I haven’t seen it yet, but the site got a good review from a guy he works with.
My Fiance is also an athletic guy. Broad chest, small waist. The site even emailed him to double check that his waist measurement was correct since they projected his waist to be 9″ wider based on his other measurements.
