I have had a TV in my bedroom since I was around 10 years old. I would never not have one

I enjoyed having a TV in the bedroom until I moved in with Fiance. He loves to sleep with it on (I hate it). And I read a study that couples who don’t have a TV in the bedroom have sex about 21857285 times more than couples who do (numbers are a rough estimate lol). Since then, I have wanted to move it out so we can focus on each other, but he hates the idea. Oh welllll!

we have a tv in our bedroom..I like it. Sometimes me and Darling Husband don’t need to fight for tv i can just go to the room and he can just watch tv in the living room. Or most of the times, my boys take over the living room tv. I love having a tv in the bedroom..:)

My vote is “No, and we like it that way”.
There are times when I want to finish watching something in the bedroom, especially now that laker and clippers games go so late (damn time zone move!). But I like keeping the bedroom as our sanctuary.

I grew up never having a TV in my room.  We were not allowed.  We had plenty of TVs in the house just not in our room.  The first time I had a TV in my room was my college dorm room.  When I went to grad school and had an apartment I didn’t have one in my room.  So I have lived both ways.

Fiance and I lived in a studio so we could watch tv from the sofas or our bed.  I got used to beaing able to watch a bit of tv before going to sleep and liked it.  When we moved we didn’t have a TV for a bedroom.  Just recently his mom moved and gave us an extra she had for our bedroom.  I must say I really like it.  Frequently we will go to bed early to watch TV.  If we are watching in the living room it is from our own sofas (we aren’t the type to curl up on one sofa together).  I enjoy that hour before sleep cuddling in bed watching a show.

We don’t  have one (DH is dead against it – he used to suffer from insomnia, and thinks bedroom should be solely for sleep / sex).

I used to have one when I lived on my own, but found I got distracted watching it in the morning, which sometimes made me late for work.

We currently have our second tv in our kitchen / diner, which is nice for me when I’m cooking 🙂

@Lyndzo:  I think this is a great suggestion! My SO is exactly the same way and that sounds like a compromise. Over the years I have become accustomed to having the TV on sometimes and he has become accustomed to having dark and silence. I think it’s all about a good compromise on both parts.

We have one in the bedroom. I like having it because he works swing shift so the night he’s on I watch it before I fall asleep.

When I was growing up I always had a tv in my bedroom and so did my fiance, but when we moved in together we only had one tv and decided to place it on the living room. Now I can’t imagine having one in the bedroom so maybe your fiance can try it for a few weeks to see how he feel about it, he might end up liking it better without a TV

We have a TV in our room which is just for movies. It’s good sometimes to go to bed and watch a film and snuggle. I have some health issues so sometimes I like to have a duvet day and watch all my favourite girly rom coms and let my body rest.

We don’t have one in the bedroom, nor do we want one. If we want to watch a movie in bed for some reason, we bring a laptop in
