I have this one from overstock and love it.  Assembly was a pain in the ass, but for the price (I think $350 or $400) that I paid, it can’t be beat.  I got my coffee table and dining room buffet from overstock also and love it.

@pinkshoes:  Oooh, I’d love hear more about your Overstock experience! I’m so glad you love the furniture itself because we are most likely going to order our dining room set from there as well. How was the delivery time and customer service, and all of that kind of stuff?

My e-ring is actually from there, and *knock on wood* we have had no problems with it whatsoever, so they are already starting out on a high note in our book.  🙂

@RunningGal:  P.S. Didn’t meant to thread jack!! We have a pretty basic one, which I BELIEVE we got at Kmart or Walmart. But we are in the process of buying a house and will likely be upgrading when we move. This is pretty much exactly what we have now:

@LoveMikey:  The delivery time is ok, probably about a week or two tops if I remember correctly.  I’ve never been dying to get the item, so it never really took note of it.  Customer service is great if there are any issues.  My Mother-In-Law ordered us dining chairs, which unfortunately were a pain in the ass and didnt fit together right, and we had to call them 2 or 3 times for parts, but it was no questions asked and they sent us exactly what we needed.

I just bought this dining set, overstock had it, but I bought it at another site a little cheaper.  The only “issue” was that for some reason the chairs looked bigger and more substantial in the picture than it did when I got it.  Not a big deal though, still love the set!

Currently we have a basic tv stand from Target.  Along the lines of this one:

Avington Media TV Stand - Black

But I really want to upgrade it in the near future to a taller chest like stand like this one

Big Sur 3 Piece Media Cabinet in Black

@Christy42213:  I have this same one. It’s nice for now, especially because we don’t have much space.

@Meowkers:  LOVE that 2nd one. I think I’d want to upgrade to something like that some day too!

We have a dresser that we turned into a TV stand.  I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in a green/olive color.  We took out the middle three drawers.  I dont currently have a photo – but this is very similar to what we did!  The dresser cost us $35 at an estate auction.

@Mrs.Camera:  That was our upgrade, LOL!  Our previous stand was a 3 foot long wood board that was only a few inches off the ground.  I love nice furniture, but it’s hard justifying some of the exorbitant prices out there.  We felt bad spending $150.

we got ours a few years ago from costco online.  we had a hard time finding one that we really liked that was large enough to hold our tv.

it’s very similar to the one that @pinkshoes: posted.  same colour and style of legs but ours has a centre door too.  i like it a lot.

We have this one. It’s also from Overstock.  We wanted one like my parents.  They got theirs from Costco but it was no longer available.

@Christy42213:  I found ours already assembled on Craigslist and only paid $80. Still expensive, but much better than $150. I try to buy most of our furniture used, because it’s cheaper & because I feel less guilty about the waste.
