HATED IT! what was with all the computer stuff? and the wolf scenes were so off!!  definitely my least favorite so far– not nearly enough things going on and no real connection between the characters for me.

Edit: the only part I liked was when Edward goes into shock when he first finds out about the baby– finally looking like normal crazy! (which I love– he plays the intense vampire too well.)

Ok I LOVED it…. Of course the book was 17MILLION Times better. They did jump around alot at the beginning and compacted alot of the first Jacob book…. but the scene that made me the MOST mad was the fight with the WOLVES! I was like ARE YOU SERIOUS! That didnt help make the movie ANY BETTER! I did love how they showed the inter monologue with the wolves in this one though!  Edward did look better in this one also (I always thought he was too white for me in the others)  But over all awesome movie but much better book! LoL

I’m a huge twilight fan…books more so than movies and here’s what I always say:

In a book, its easy to imagine these creatures through words.  But they don’t exist, so its impossible for it to translate with “human” actors in this “real” world.

I know people who haven’t read the books but LOVE the movies.  I don’t see it.  Without all the back story from the books, I think I would hate the movies.  Oh, I went to midnight showing and I’m ready to see it again right now! I loved the movie, and I think they did a fantastic job with it.  All the computer stuff blew me away and it obvious there was a lot more $$$$ put into this one.  The wedding, Bella’s “issue” and everything else was fantastic!

I loved it. I thought I was going to cry a lot but I laughed a ton! Renesmee was so cute too =) I knew it was going to end where it did but I was still sad knowing we have to wait a year for the 2nd part. =/

@MrsDiddles: Have you seen the movie Remember Me? I think he was pretty good in that movie, thats when I realized he wasn’t that horrible of an actor. lol. I still don’t like KS but I love the rest of the cast (Carlisle and Alice especially).

Okay, I’m not a Twilight fan, but I’m not here to bash.  I was quite surprised this morning when I saw Facebook updates and comments on other statuses about how people hated the movie.  They were warning people to just download it on the computer to save the money and time.  I’m just curious as to how you all think it was as well.

@Rouquine: that’s how I feel about it.  I’m a English graduate student but I still read (and re-read) the Twilight books.   I thought the movie was fine in terms of being “like the story” and some parts of it were funny– but I literally came home with a sore throat because I was smothering giggles into my sweatshirt for the entire thing.

Since when can we hear the wolves talk? That blew it out of the water for me, it was too cheesy, too much, and just stupid. (And I love the other movies, so I don’t have high standards and I’m not a Twilight-hater.) I giggled and thought it was silly when she was getting ready for their wedding night, but then it just went downhill for me.

And KStew being all nervous when she’s walking down the aisle? Didn’t do it for me. It’s mediocre acting– she hasn’t graduated to the level where she doesn’t need to do all that hand-wringing and open-mouthed breathing for the audience to understand her emotions.

I’ll always love RPat as Edward– he does the creepy, obsessive boyfriend a little too well… but this movie didn’t have nearly enough of the same dynamic as they’d had before?  The only part I liked was when he’d frozen in shock when she found out she was pregnant. He should have broken something and been really upset when he realized he hurt her after their wedding night.

I did like the end, a little, for the horror-film aspects, because I love some scary movies.  But I hated the Magic Schoolbus-style scenes where we followed the venom in her veins? Come on!

Definitely my least favorite of all the movies.

I am between loved and it was just good. I am very sure if I hadnt been planning my own wedding I wouldnt have liked it so much. I just feel awful saying ot was “OK” I read through the entire series in 5 days WHILE working full time lol! i could NOT put hose books down!

My FI’s biggest complaint about the movie ” He didn’t sparkle in Brazil. That pisses me off he’s supposed to sparkle!” lol!

I liked how they did the birth scene… I was not impressed with the way she was turned until the very end where she was transforming before your eyes… that was so classic horror story magical!

i just wrote in the other thread i started, but will chime in here that i LOVED it! i think it was the best one by far. Darling Husband thinks so too. Finally the Cullens looked good and beautiful like how they are supposed! you can totally tell how far the quality and budget has gotten better since Twilight.
