MrsPiggles:  oh wow! there would definitely be so many amazing things about having twins! (and if you only want two kids you can get it done in one go lol)

I’ve always very much wanted children and I really look forward to having them one day, I know if we are blessed with twins i’d love it and embrace it but if I could choose I think i’d cope with one at a time a little better.. haha

Former nanny of twins here, not yet TTC but I have a slight genetic disposition for poyential twins… I have heard moms of multiples state that it was easier for them with twins, especially if they had a single first. My guess is that they’d already made the huge adjustment to being a parent, so it didn’t seem that drastic.

As the nanny, I can definitely attest to the fact that they can entertain each other as they get older! That also means they conspire together though… I watched 2 sets of fraternal girls, one boy/girl set, and triplet girls. I can definitely say the trip girls gave me the best run for my money as they hit those toddler years!

caritas:  This is exactly why I want twins. My cat is very demanding of mine and FI’s attention and always wants to be petted or talked to. He is seriously the noisiest animal I have ever come across. He will wake me multiple times a night just because he wants to talk to me. Anyway, because he is so demanding it got me thinking about how a baby would be and I joked to Fiance that I hope we have twins so that they will be able to keep each other company and not demand my attention all of the time. Thankfully twins run in my family so finger crossed!

ETA: I realise I went slightly off topic ranting about my noisy cat lol

Even though the thought it scary, sometimes I think I would like to have twins. We have no history of them in either family, so it would be a total fluke!

My Fiance is a twin but he was a surprise to everyone. Every time his Mom went in for an ultrasound (back in the 70’s mind you) their hearts were always beating exactly in time, so as far as anyone knew there was just one baby. My Fiance was born 10 mins after his brother…SURPRISE!! I guess his Dad was in the waiting room and he heard nurses start talking about twins that had just been born, so he looked around to see who the father was to congratulate him. Didn’t take him long to realise there were no others fathers there. Lol, Life changing moment for him. Fiance and his brother were the worst growing up. Always getting into trouble and fighting with others and themselves!
