Is doing your make up yourself an option? I’m pale too and I’m really nervous about being turned orange so I definitely get where you’re coming from. (I’m having my wedding in a different country so I won’t get to do a trial until a few days beforehand). Why not spend the money you would have spent on a make up artist on getting some nice makeup products, check out a few beauty blogs and you tube tutorials, and get experimenting!

TrousseauHorse:  Some make-up artists who work at counters for MAC etc. will also do outside work. I’d hunt down those places you liked and ask them if they’d come to you – we did it that way when I was Maid/Matron of Honor once, we had a girl who worked at a Chanel counter but did outside work as well and she was great!

Good luck! I know how much it sucks when they don’t get your make-up right, you want to feel amazing on your wedding day!
