Not unheard of at all! Have 3 or 4. People want to tell you they love you (just make sure they dont drag on… even though we`d all love to hear ppl gush about us LOL)

Have as many as you like!

But remember that it might be better to just have those comfortable with giving a speech to do so. As much as you love them, public speaking can be hell for some people so please ask if she feels comfortable first, and not to pressure her. Your Boyfriend or Best Friend might just be the better choice because it’s something truly she’ll enjoy doing. ☺

I had 2 Maid/Matron of Honor – one did a speech at the Rehearsal Dinner and the other at the ceremony. That might be an option for you since your sister is pretty shy

When I was moh at my best friends wedding one of the other bridesmaids was a total ham and really wanted to say a speech. We kind of consulted with each other so we were both fairly short and not saying the exact same thing but I think it worked out great.

Yea, I say you have as many people speak that you want to/that want to. I always find the speeches to be one of the most entertaining OR heartfelt parts of a wedding 🙂 It’s so sweet to see what will be said. I definitely want my parents and my Maid/Matron of Honor and bestie to make a speech. I say do it 🙂

I had two maids of honor, my twin cousins. They’re like my sisters. They both gave speeches that were short and sweet. I don’t think speeches should take up a lot of time in the whole night, I think ours took maybe 20 minutes, tops. There was way more fun to be had!

I have two MoHs and Fiance has 2 BMs and they both will be giving speechs during the reception. To make light of the fact that ppl tend to become long winded we may have a timer with a hilarious ringer sound off when each persons time is up.

I have two sisters and they are both my maid/maiden of honor… I would assume they will both give short speeches or a joint speech.

I went to a wedding in which there were two best man speeches and three maid of honor (they were co-maids) speeches.

There’s nothing implicitly wrong with that as long as those giving the speeches remember to keep them a reasonable length.

First time around, I didn’t even knew girls made speeches, I thought it was just boys!!  We had 2 best men (brothers, both BFF’s to Darling Husband1, impossible to choose just one of them) and they each gave a speech and it was awesome!  The older brother gave a sweet and sentimental toast, while the younger brother gave a funny one and they balanced well…I loved them both!

Of the weddings I’ve been to I don’t like 2 Bridesmaid or Best Man or 2 Maid/Matron of Honor speeches.  Typically one speech outshines the other.
