I think the best thing you can possibly do is rest.  That is what always helps me!  If it’s possible, see if someone else can run the last minute errands for you.  Just hang out at your house, watch tv and sleep. And drink a lot of fluids.

And even if that doesn’t work, your makeup artist should definitely be able to help you look perky!

I dont’t think you can get a cold from just sitting in the a/c – that is just an old wives tale.  Regardless, I hope you feel better soon.  I’d stock up on Dayquil or similar and keep yourself hydrated.  Stay away from salt, it’ll add to the puffiness.  I’m sure you’ll look great on your wedding day, so don’t stress this!

The same thing happened to me. I went to the doctor hoping she could give me some strong pill to get rid of it LOL. But she told me to take Cold Fx, Advil Cold & Sinus, a multivitamin, gargle with salt, and get a nasal flush kit.

OH and I also felt like I was getting an ear infection and we were flying 2 days after the wedding so I wanted to make damn sure I got rid of it.

Turns out it wasnt an infection, just part of the cold.

So I went to the pharmacy and spent $50+ on everything. I took everything I was supposed to, tried to get some rest (not easy) and surprisingly I felt great for the wedding and the cold didnt come back until after the honeymoon (I’m still fighting it right now).

Have you tried taking a Zinc supplement (that’s the main ingredient in Cold-Eeze) and Vitamin C drops?  That always helps me feel better pretty quickly.

I think it’s a myth that sitting in AC can cause a cold.

At any rate, rest and relax as much as possible. Take vitamin C, zinc, and echinacea like it was going out of style. And use a neti pot.

Three days is probably enough time to let the cold run its course. Good luck!

My colds usually only last about 5 days if it is a mild one.  I have only had a couple colds that have totally knocked me down.  Just let it run it’s course.  Hopefully in a couple days you are greatly improved.  I’ve heard that the adrenaline of the day will kick in and you might not feel as sick.
