So my dress I bought I really like but I’m a little worried about it looking to wrinkly in pictures. It’s gorgeous in person but I feel like it doesn’t photograph very well. I might be over-analyzing.
However, I bought a bridesmaid dress looong before I found my “real” dress and have had it in the back of my closet. When I started to get worried about my main dress I decided to add some beading and a fuller skirt to make it more interesting.
Both are pretty but I’m not sure which one I should wear. Should I stick with my real dress or wear my modified bridesmaid dress? (Ignore the straps and obvious wrinkles).

They’re both pretty, but there’s something about the second dress that looks a little off to me.

The chest on the A-line is a lot more flattering on you :o)
Plus, if you’re hiring a pro photographer, I’m sure they’ll know how to shoot/edit pictures to make your dress look as stunning as it is in person. Personally, I think it looks beautiful in the pictures you posted!

Oh wow. I like them both but I like #2 more.

I’m not a fan of mermaid dresses, so I chose #1. They both look lovely on you, though.

I think the modified mermaid does more for your figure, but it depends if you want a figure enhancing dress for your wedding. I think that style looks great on lots of brides, but for me, it just wasn’t the right wedding “look” I was going for. If you stick with your original dress, and you take it in a bit it would probably look like a toned down version of your modified bridesmaid dress. Happy medium maybe!?

They both look beautiful on you, but I prefer the first. It has a more classic look.

Def. Dress #1! Dress #2 is nice, but the cut/fit isn’t as nice as #1. I think the way the beading trim pulls at the fabric above it makes it look like its not the right size or something.

So far based on your opinions – it looks like I’m just over-analyzing. Good to know! 🙂
@Adnama54: Yeah that trim is actually just pinned on so that’s why it’s doing that. If it were sewn on it wouldn’t have that problem.

All opinions aside, you do look happier in the mermaid… I’m just sayin

I voted for dress #1…it is so stunning! It is simple and strikingly beautiful on you! I don’t think a dress could look bad on you; therefore, I think if you were to wear dress #2, you would stil look beautiful, but I am in love with dress #1 on you! Who makes that dress by the way?
i guess i’m on the other side of all the ladies 🙂 i like the mermaid one! it’s very figure flattering and gorgeous! and you look really happy in it! i’m sorry, i’m just not really a fan of the a-line! however, i do like the look of the a-line’s chest…maybe the mermaid one just didn’t look right for the picture? i don’t know!

I like both, but I feel like the mermaid skirt is not the same color as the rest of the dress, I don’t know maybe it is the same color, but it doesn’t look like it to me. And I agree that you look happier in the mermaid.

I would love #2, but you would have to get the bust part of the dress more fitted. BUT, I do love the first dress too! I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either!

#1 looks AMAZING on you! You look gorgeous in that dress, It’s so romantic! You have a rockin figure so no matter what you wear your going to look stunning! #2 is pretty and looks great on you, but compared to #1, somethings not doing it for me. Maybe I would remove the bling thats near the knees….I dont know.
You could always see if you could modify #1 and see if you could take it in near the hips a little bit to create a more “fitted” look.
