I went to a couple of weddings where the bride change dresses. They are both Chinese so wore a white dress for the ceremony and changed into a red dress after (one of them even did a third dress change although I have no idea why as it wasn’t any smaller / easier to get around in). So certainly common in some cultures. I don’t think it will be strange or have people wondering why. But I think given how much you spend on your wedding dress and will only ever wear it for one day, I’d wear the crap out of it if it were me 😀

I only had one wedding dress, but I did get a “going-away” dress. It was a good call because after a while it got hard to breathe. I wore my other dress for 45 minutes before we left the reception. Worked out really well. 🙂

I was a two dress bride.
I wanted one, but I fell in love with a blush/mauve ball gown that I knew I would regret walking down the aisle in. Therefore, my favorite dress became my reception dress and yes, a ball gown..
While everyone loved the white gown, I was happiest with my first pick.
Sometimes I think maybe I should’ve had one but I remember the feeling of being absolutely happy and beautiful. For some, it’s their wedding dress. Be in the dress that makes you happy and have no regrets. I have none. (I’ve been posting my dress in most threads, I’m getting annoyed myself so apologies but here are the gowns.)
