- Wedding: September 2014
We just got our pro pics back from our September wedding, and I am so happy with how they turned out.
I am the brunette, my wife is the blonde. We got married at a natural history museum with dinosaurs and it was awesome.
Getting ready (LOOK HOW PRETTY SHE IS — THAT’S SOME PINTEREST SHIT RIGHT THERE):
First look (I was super antsy and the photographer had to keep telling me not to turn around yet. The letter she is reading at the end of the set is one that I wrote her 5 days before we first met in person — we had been penpals for 9 months before that — but never sent because I was afraid it would scare her off. It basically said “Hey, I know this is crazy, but I think you’re it for me, and I think we’re goign to make this work.”):
First look with our dads (I LOVE MY DAD SO MUCH):
Ceremony — vows, rings, recessional (We wrote our own vows, we both cried, it was perfect):
My fav post-ceremony pic (LOOK AT HOW PRETTY SHE IS AGAIN):
First dance (to Elly Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You?”):
Dances with dads:
Last dance (probably my favorite moment of the whole thing — everybody else just melted away and it was her and me enjoying the last of what truly was the best day of our lives):
Grand exit (sometimes we make dinosaur faces at each other):
Me with my brother, who decorated my car to make it look like a stegosaurus:
Basically, I highly recommend getting married. And I would highly recommend marrying my wife because she’s amazing, but I already did that so you can’t.
I really thought people were exaggerating when they’d talk about their weddings as the best day of their lives, but I get it now. It really is true.
