Hello again bees!
So I was finally able to get my hands on a few samples that I have wanted to try on for awhile (even though I had to drive 3 hours). Any who, now I have a little dilemma.
For a bit of background, I will be having a winter wedding in December. My reception will take place in a ballroom and for the ceremony I will mostly like be descending a grand staircase for a dramatic entrance (this is still up for debate however). My wedding colors are plum gold and ivory.
The 2 dresses I am torn between are 2 completely different styles. The first one is Allure C170 and the second in Enzoani Diana.
1st dress: I do love it and mom is COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH IT (would be pretty devastated if I chose a different dress and has stated this. My worries are that it is too princessy/disneyish.
2nd dress: The epitome of what I was searching for when my dress search began. Unfortunately I had not been able to find a lace gown that I actually liked on me until now (which is why I originally went with the allure dress) and had almost given up on it. My worries is that it might be too plain (no OMG WOW factor). Plus…mom does NOT like this dress at all. FYI- Im not really all that into belts and Fiance HATES them when he sees them on dresses.
I am reaching out for some opinions. What do you guys think?
Dress 1 Allure
Dress 2 Enzoani

I prefer the lace gown, the first one seems like it has a lot going on

well i have to go with the allure dress because that is my #1 pick for myself lol but the other is really pretty too

you look great in both, so I think its just up to you and what you had envisioned yourself in!

Gosh, they’re just such different dresses! Venue & wedding theme?

The first one has way more WOW factor. While the 2nd dress is pretty, I feel like everyone is doing lace right now and it is not as unique. The first dress has more of the “grand entrance” feel 🙂

You look great in both but I agree with @Seaburt: the first one has the wow factor that you seem to be looking for. You would look incredible descending a staircase in it for sure!

I love the Enzoani ( I may be partial since I have an Enzoani). but seriously, it looks great on you!

This is tough, because I think they both look good on you. I love the sparkle of the Allure, but I agree with @bells , that the bottom seems to have a lot going on. I voted for the Enzoani because the fit is very flattering on you. It may not have the sparkle of the allure, but the way it fits you is kind of the wow factor.
Which gown do you feel more beautiful in? Have you had a moment yet while trying any on? Try not to worry about what your Mom thinks. If you like the one she doesn’t, go with your heart as it is your wedding. Also, I don’t think the Enzoani needs a belt…I think it may take away from the dress, so if neither you or your fiance likes them I wouldn’t worry about that.

Dress two is much more classic than the first. 10 years down the road i think the first one might be very dated

@Rush1986: Totally agree. I feel like the highly textured skirt may one day look like pickups look to us now, and you’re right, it does fee a bit Disney Princessish. The Enzoani is way more sophisticated, and you look about 6 feet tall in it!

You love the first one and clearly don’t feel the same way about the second. You look great and if your only worry is that it looks too princessy then you really have nothing at all to worry about. It’s lovely.

@SimplyMrsC: Enzoani….the other doesn’t even compare.
