Do you mean 2012?  I don’t think you should be too upset about this, and I’m really not sure how it affects you.  And as for being ‘next in line’, your wedding is still before his.  I don’t think either of you needs to change your date, just roll with it.  I don’t think it’s worth stressing out over.

@mzmarymac:Yeah I think the worst part about it is for people who would have to travel to both weddings, and can’t necessarily afford to do so.  I think the best advice I’ve seen for dealing with family members and wedding issues is to “pick your battles”.  I think other people choosing wedding dates is out of your control, and if this guy’s crazy dramatic or whatever, he may just make life more miserable for you if you make an issue of it.  If it’s truly an inconvenience for a lot of people I think other family members will express that to him, and maybe they’ll end up moving the date without you having to look like the bad guy.

Edit: Also, congrats getting married one year from today!!

If he didn’t know your date then this really shouldn’t bother you. You are still “next in line”, even though this really isn’t something you call dibs on. His date is after yours and I am sure he might catch some grief from family if it is an issue at all.

@mzmarymac: i think anytime within a year is fair game for STD’s.  So… anytime after today!
