Try it with extensions – fake, temporary extensions you can purchase from a beauty supply store. The problem is probably that you don’t have enough hair for the “full waves” you’re looking for.

In all the pictures you posted the girls are wearing extentions. You won’t get that volume without them.

I had the clip in’s and they were great!

I have fine hair, and curls fall out of my hair all the time and then my hair looks stringy. I’ve been kicking around the idea of wearing clip-in extentions, but I’ve NEVER worn them before so I’m afraid of how they’ll feel/look but… yeah I think that’s unfortunately the only way to go :

I agree with the ladies above. I had the same problem at my trial. My hair is very thin and wasn’t producing the curls i wanted. My stylist told me to purchase hair extensions. I purchased 10 pieces on ebay for $40. I will have a retrial in 2 weeks.

I quite like your hair in option 1.

@lucy33:  I definitely think extensions will give you the vibe you’re after. Do you know which hair salon you would go back to?

@lucy33:  try the old school hot rollers, they are what i used when i was on rodeo court and had to have “big hair” the curls lasted all day. buy (you can find them second hand) 2-3 sets of hot rollers roll them in your dry hair sprayed hair, let them cool for a couple hrs. then take them out have someone pick them apart (seperate each curl once ) then flip hair upside down and hair spray. wallah! give it a try. 🙂

if you’re not going the extension route, consider having a blowout and use a root volumizer, it will thicken your hair especially around the crown area. there are tons of products to choose from

There was a thread started recently about clip-in extensions if you want to see more examples of brides with them!

I also recommend them. Your hair is long so they should be hidden quite nicely, and they’ll definitely help with the fullness on the bottom factor.

Once you get them, you may even be able to go the DIY hair route since you know what you’re going for – watch some YouTube tutorials and try it out! You may be surprised at what you can do. (I did this and liked what I was able to do and so went DIY for our wedding.) Maybe don’t put hairspray in the extensions yet so you don’t make them stringy before your wedding day (or you could use it and wash them).

Defintely splurge on real human hair – makes a world of difference in the look.
