So… now that it’s the wrong side of Christmas I can’t believe how fast time is gonna fly!
We have almost 150 confirmed and only 10 more to hear a confirmation from, so I’ve pretty much got the seating plan laid out. That’s really the biggest thing left!

Just reading this is making me freak out a little. Getting very nervous now! I can’t believe it is so close! When @EmilyJoy:
made the comment about how it’s almost next month my stomach did a back flip.

Im startting to get a lot more excited and nervous! Im waiting on 2 more RSVPs, I have an appointment next week with my dressmaker to start my dress, finally!
We havent booked a honeymoon! eek!
We havent learnt a first dance yet, havent confirmed our ceremony, my cousin is doing menus and place cards when she comes back from holiday. waiting on a few RSVPs for hens night which is jan 11!
Need to make a day of timeline and start paying off some stuff!
hmm other than that I think we are pretty good, need to collect a few more big bottles for tables but pretty good for that.
6 weeks now!!

Yah in just a few days!
Yah we need to get on the ceremony too… we had a rather last minute officiant change because our first one had family issues, so now we need to do it all over again with the new guy. I’m basically copying everything we had written up from the first ceremony officiant though, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

Does anyone know when they are sending out rehearsal dinner invites?! I’m one of those “the sooner the better” type, but our venue is playing this whole thing of there might be a wedding the day before our wedding… Umm I think at this point it’s safe to assume nobody is booking a wedding that day!

And we’re under the 50 day mark! We’ve had some time off over Christmas break and have managed to get a ton of wedding stuff done. We picked up our marriage license, took the tux in for alterations, I had my second of three dress fittings, we boxed all the decor up into organized boxes with inventory lists of the contents. We turned in the final ceremony script and I finished writing my vows. We also finished designing our ceremony program and buying everyone in the wedding party gufts. I’ve got my eyes on the prize and just want to keep knocking things off the to do list!
good question! We told everyone verbally but I’d still like to send out a cute electronic invitation (not Evite) to remind them.

Ahh 54 days here and I knew after the holidays were over I’d start freaking out, and I was right! We were paying off things as we go, so slowly accumulating. Now I’m feeling crazy rushed!
We still need to make table numbers / ceremony cards / escort cards (people send your RSVPS back! GRRR!), marriage license, favors, dress fitting, flower confirmation, dance lessons, and bridal party gifts. Ok that list wasn’t so bad when I typed it out, I can breathe now!
Good luck bees!!!

I was doing so well with my seating chart, then I had lunch with my dad and have to change a whole bunch of crap (drama between my parents, etc.). One more thing to add to the list!
– Finish tracking down the RSVPs (gave them a little holiday break)
– Finish seating chart
– Finish signage (bar, bathroom, etc.)
– Finish guest book (doing a Project Life one)
– Finish alterations
– Finish thank you speech and slideshow
– Package favours
– Print and assemble programs (cardstock on cardstock, nothing too involved)
– Marriage license
– Remind everyone about rehearsal and rehearsal dinner
– Complete payments with florist, MUA, hairstylist, limo, church and officiant
… I hope that’s it!
Oh yeah, in there I have to find room for two stagettes (doing a quick trip to Vegas with a few friends and a local one), a family shower, my birthday AND PACKING UP AND MOVING BECAUSE SOMEONE (*cough* fiance *cough*) AGREED TO A POSSESSION DATE OF OUR CONDO ON JAN 31! AAAAAHHH!
Maybe I should get cracking on that list, haha.

Not sure if having a super casual DIY wedding is better or worse. Seems like I have so much left to do, but so much isn’t being done that I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything. Plus so much has to wait till last minute.

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT ALERT:
Got our final response today and our total wedding size will be 153 people! Potentially 155 plus two babies if my friends due to have their second baby at the end of the month can make it, but I’ve left room at a table of friends just in case.
So now the floor plan is done and I can make the seating chart!
The other issue I’m dealing with right now is a non-responsive officiant… Our original awesome guy had to cancel because of his brother’s heart surgery being the day before our wedding, so we contacted a replacement. And I haven’t heard back from him in a few weeks… just sent him another email this week and the email money transfer so if he doesn’t respond in another few days… guess I’m looking again! I’m a little worried about that because there are only 6 other male officiants listed so hopefully one of them is available. If not, I guess worst case we have one of our friends “officiate” the ceremony and just go sign the legal documents in front of someone the day before or after or something. Stay positive!

We are still hunting down people who haven’t RSVPd and need to give final numbers by next week! We also had to find a new officiant since ours was non-reponsive. Other than that…just have seating to do and we’re done!

OOH SH. bees seeing this made me realize I still have a LOT to do and I am gettin nervous I won’t get it done on time.
Here is what we still need to do:
-Get RSVP’s (I mean come on people!!) we are going to be making a LOT of calls to hunt them down ugh!
-Still on the fence if I should do a seating chart
-We just sent rings to resize but we need to get them engraved
-Get marriage license
– Do a day of schedule to try and get a plan
-Pick first dance song/practice
-Do a list of songs we want
-I still have no idea where I’ll be getting ready (this is freaking me out)
-Pick florsit (I was working with one but has gone MIA since beginning of last month and have to start all over)
-Meet with out photographers.
-Wrap up the favors
-Get guest book
-Buy cake topper
-Start dress alterations
I thought it wasn’t that bad, but now that I wrote it up I can see I have my work cut out!… Oh boy! :S

For the last two weeks or so my FH and I have been having a lot of “OMG we are getting married” moments. LOL. I am loving it. Thrill and excitement at its purest form. We’ve changed a lot from our “small intimate” wedding to an “open invitation” type wedding. But we are getting rid of our 3 course meal menu, and replacing it with light refreshments. and since making that decision, the stress has lifted. For us, we want our biggest day to be well… about us. The celebration of a marriage. so with that said, 90% of everything is taken care of. just for the loose ends.
We started premarital counseling with our pastor, and I must say, every couple planning to get married should get premarital counseling. Helps to keep you focussed on “marriage” instead of the “wedding.”
Happy planning 🙂
