Alright ladies! If you are getting married on 10/1, you are 60 days away now. If you are doing it on 10/31 you are 90 days out. Either way, by the end of this month it is going to be CLOSE!
So update us all on your progress. Are you close? Have you had your shower? Bachelorette party? Fittings? Are the invites in the mail?
My shower was last weekend! My bachelorette party is on 8/24. My first fitting is 9/2 which is what made all of this so REAL. I’m 72 days away, holy crap. Our invitations went out last week and so far we’ve gotten 3 back. Aside from a few small odds and ends here and there (printing out guestbook pages, buying a backdrop for the ceremony, paying our vendors), we’re ready to go!

@MrsFutureG: Eeeeeeesh you’re right, it’s getting super close!! My shower is on 8/11, first fitting 8/10.
My invites…well, they’re in and ready to go, but I still have to give the printer my spreadsheet with the names/addresses. I’m having all the envelopes printed. To say I’ve been procrastinating that would be an understatement. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it! But I figure as long as they hit the mail by 8/15, I’m good. My reply date is 9/15, wedding 10/20, so that gives everyone enough time. We’re only inviting 80 people, and we sent out save-the-dates months and months ago, so I’m not too worried.
Otherwise, just kinda in a waiting period. My DOC’s contract starts 9/20, so that’s when I’ll start my final vendor meetings. Until then, I’m just coasting. And trying to lose the last 20 pounds (down 50 so far!).
Best of luck fellow October brides. It’s almost our turn!!

Another October Bee! I keep looking at my registry and it tells me how far off I am. Once I’m under 60 days, the butterflies are going to start!
The important stuff is done – venue booked, commissioner booked, wedding party set, invites out, dress in my closet.
It’s mostly the little stuff that’s left – cake, wedding license, rings (his bought and mine resized), shoes for me (probably flats because I think my dress is too short for heels), bridesmaid dress for my sister (buying off the rack so no need to order it in or anything), confirming the menu, rehearsal dinner.
It’s all coming together. I can’t wait. EEEE!

@MrsFutureG: well if you’re at 72 days, that means I’m at 71! eeek! It just hit me that i need to get my dress fittings scheduled, which isnt major, just a hem and bustle thankfully. Invites are going out Saturday, shower #2 is sunday, bachelorette party Labor day weekend. we had a shake-up in our musicians so I may have to scramble for my ceremony (or use my trusty ipod ) and he has to get his wedding band (read: I will have to pick it out, purchase it, and keep it safe because he will drag his feet until two days before) Other than that, and getting all the groomsmen to get their tuxes, I think we are good to go!

Invites go out 8/17, dress fitting 8/29.
I have no clue when the Bachlorette party is, total surprise from my girls! Yikes!
Getting my shoes, jewelry, BM’s gifts this weekend.
Vendors will be paid off next month, except photo, hair and makeup people. Amazing, since our party is mighty costly!
Excited for the wedding, honeymoon and most importantly, being his wifey for lifey!!! Hehehe!

@lala423: Wait, are you marrying my fiance? 😉

When I turned the calendar yesterday I definitely started to freak out!
I have sent invitations and started getting RSVPs already. The next 6 weeks will be crazy… my bachelorette is August 24, showers are August 25, September 7 and September 15.
All the big stuff is done, just have some DIY projects to finish. I still feel like I have lots of time, but all the wedding-related events coming up the next few weekends have me worried. Any October bees going into panic mode yet?

Eeek! Two months out!!! A lot of details on my to-do list, but overall I feel like it’s pretty much under control. My goal is to have ALL DIY and Etsy-ordering done by the end of the month! I’m trying to take as much pressure off of September as possible, since that will be filled with last-minute vendor coordinating and getting ready for my mom’s arrival.
Invites went out a couple weeks ago, and the RSVP’s are trickling in. So far, 11 people are attending! We’re anticipating that we’ll have anywhere between 26-32 guests.
My first fitting/alterations appoint is tomorrow morning. I’m kinda nervous because I’m worried that I gained a few pounds since I bought the dress.
We chose not to have a bridal party for many reasons, and that’s been the best thing ever. No showers or bachelorette party here — they are NOT for me. However, one of our best friends is secretly planning a lowkey bachelor camping/fishing trip for FI, which I am helping him coordinate. 🙂

- Wedding: October 2013 - The Down Town Club, Philadelphia
Just reading this post gave me all the feelings. AAck. Butterflies!!
Our invites went out 2 weeks ago, and we have been getting RSVP’s pretty steadily.
My bachelorette weekend is next weekend – one week from today, and the girls and I will be out of town!
My bridal shower was back in June bc we had it in NYC, my hometown.
I haven’t scheduled my fittings yet. I am nervous about it. I was hoping to be thinner by now. I’m kind of depressed that I’ve been working so hard, and despite working out every day, I’m still the same size. I’m more toned, but…I’m a little depressed.
Everything else is coming along. We are DIYing wine bottle vases, so that’s been taking up all our creative free time.
I haven’t started to panic…yet.
It might be coming soon though, who knows?

@Reeniero: Haha, stay tuned. At the 1 month mark, my thread will be called “One Month – EVERYBODY PANIC!” 😉

Eeeek – it’s all about details now, and I am NOT a details person.
Invitations sent out last Wednesday, so far we’ve gotten 10 RSVPs back (total of 18 ppl) out of 120 sent. Can’t wait to get them all back so I can start working on the seating chart and escort cards.
We picked out our wedding music for the ceremony and reception over the weekend, now gotta practice dancing to our song haha.
Still need to do: Dress alteration and bustle; hair/makeup trial; find my necklace/earrings; finalize the menu (our tasting is next Wednesday), plan the rehearsal dinner, make sure the guys get their tuxes, buy bridesmaids gifts, plan the honeymoon, get the marriage license, ahh it seems like so much when I start typing it out lol.
So much to do, but I can’t wait to get married to the man of my dreams

- Wedding: October 2013 - Rustic mill, historical site
My invites went out last weekend and I have about a dozen or so RSVPs already!
I haven’t scheduled my fitting, my shower should be the saturday after labour day, and I imagine my bachelorette will be the weekend before because that’s when my bridsmaid from across the country will be flying in.

We’re so close to being done!
Shower: Yes, July 13.
Bachelorette Party: No. Probably going to happen the Friday before the wedding, since we’re getting married on a Sunday.
Fittings: Yes. I have been going once a month since April… The dress was 6 sizes too big (yes, 6) and we’re making a lot of changes.
Invitations out: Yes! They went out on Monday!
