My Fiance has his GMs picked out, but has not asked anyone (except the Best Man) and we have about twoish months left. He said he doesnt want to burden them with having to stand in the wedding.
Both the best man and I have been trying to come up with ways for him to ask, but he just hasnt. I have given him the option of just having the best man stand up with him, but he wants to match my side.
How did your Fiance ask his guys to stand in the wedding with him?
(yes I have resorted to suggesting just sending a text, but he wont do that).

@thatredheadedsister: Funny enough, my Fiance asked his friends before we even got engaged! lol
Yeah, it was kinda weird. I was like, wait hold on, where’s the ring?

Fiance needs to get on the ball….it’s way late in the game and by asking them this late, he will put more of a burden on them since they have to scramble in getting tux rentals/attire, travel, get days off of work. Our wedding is the week before yours and all our guys have to be fitted no later than mid-April; we are also facing the prom rush during that time too….

Wait… He doesn’t want to burden them with standing up, but he wants the sides to be even?
I think he needs to pick one or the other!

give him a deadline to do it, and if he still hasn’t, do it yourself. I think he would much prefer to do it than to have you do it.

Your groomsmen may have to pay rush-delivery fees for their suits/tuxes because of how long your Fiance has waited. He needs to just ask or not have anyone.

@missmorganista: This. They may say no this late in the game, especially if they have to wear what everyone else is and have to have their tuxes rushed or something.

He just needs to get off his bum and ask them! It’s way to late now, just bug him every day until he does it.
My Fiance proposed to his groomsmen! Haha, it sounds a bit weird but they are all so close and with their personalities it really wasn’t weird at all. He just knelt down and said ‘Will you be my groomsman?’

My Fiance asked one via a phone call and his best man via FB msg. He is in the navy so he doesnt see them often.

By waiting so late he may well have set them up for financial burden. Rush orders, needing time off work, etc. He hasn’t done them any favors, he has done them quite a disservice.
Explain to him the financial burden he may have created. I do think if there are rush orders or financial issues your Fiance should offer to help with those since he created them.

Deadlines have been given, nagging has been done, and words have been yelled. I’m giving him this week to ask and that door is closing….I’m asking myself. And if that doesn’t fly, then have one guy. I don’t care (well I do because he has really good friends that would want to be in the wedding)
