I like the first one better at a glance.  I think Keira had some great shots, many of the them are too edgy for my taste.  I think her pictures are great, but while they may be in style now, I am not sure how I would feel about them showing them to my kids in 20 years.

Also remember, you can talk to either of the photographers and ask them to be more your style.  Try to talk them both and see who is more willing to meet you in the middle.  Can the first photographer show you some of her more “edgy” work?  Can you pick out some edgy poses or shots that you would like her to do?

NGolden, I have to say I would choose Bailly HANDS DOWN. The fact that I LOVE this person’s website design aside, their work is gorgeous. To get beautiful “dreamy” photos like that, you have to have nice clean technically correct images to begin with. This person has a lot of talent, and a lot of the “dreaminess” is probably in the editing, which he or she can most likely tone down for you if you want. I personally don’t think the amount is that over the top at all. I’ve definitely seen photographers overdo it.

As for the second photog, Kiera, she seems to have some technical issues with her photos. Some are just smoggy or grainy… things I just wouldn’t consider worthy of my portfolio. I know she is marketing them as “Edgy” but to me they are just sub par technically. Finally, she seems to have a much smaller wedding portfolio. Your other photog definitely specializes more in weddings, which is important! Good luck with your choice!

Like the PP, I am drawn to the first photographer. I feel like the first photographer’s shots are romantic and beautiful, yes they give off the fairy tale vibe but if there was ever a vibe I would want with my wedding pictures to give off that would be it. I think that in the long run the first photographer’s photos will make you happy 20 years from now. Ultimately it is up to you, if you are leaning one way then your gut is telling you something. I do agree that maybe you could meet with both and see which one is more willing to work with you and give you what you want.

From your description alone, I was sure that I was going to prefer #2. Then I looked at the websites and it is #1 hands down. #2 is beautiful…. but dare I say… a bit trendy? #1 just seems to have a timeless quality.

I prefer Keira’s photography. It’s a bit more unique and she’s better at capturing the details.

I like the first one more in terms of what he captures. His are a bit more spontaneous and have a more encompassing feel of the whole event. He seems to grab more “moments” and the photos seem to reflect the personality of the subject rather than the photographer.

Although I like the vivid colours and some of the more edgy shots in Kiera’s, I find her more posed and I don’t like the few shots that she put sort of a Photoshop blur effect around the edges of the photo. I’m not huge fan of posed photos and I’m not seeing a lot of photos of guests or even the ceremony! A lot of her subjects seem to have the same “I’m bad ass” look/pose going on which makes me wonder if they’re playing to the photographer’s style and attitude rather than the photographer playing to the subject.

I prefer the 1st one. It’s more natural, make me dream on my wedding day!

 it shows emotions, situations snapshots.

the 2nd photographer makes pictures more posed. The bright colors and highly reworked are perhaps more suited for a trash the dress session.

But the both are brillant.

Another vote for Bailly. At least from their online portfolios, Bailly’s images seem cleaner, more vibrant, and less posed, which is what I personally prefer. But definitely follow your heart – choose whoever’s style speaks to you most.

At a glance, my vote is also for Bailly Photography. Nicer composition and overall better quality I think.

My vote is for Bailly… good control over lighting & they capture the wedding iteself, whereas the 2nd photog seems to pose the couple instead of capturing how things are & the poses look posed (can tell by the faces). In my opinion Bailly far supasses the 2nd photog & Bailly also has good dance floor photos, a lot of photog’s get blurry shots from the fast movement & low lighting. If you like the 2nd photog, maybe you can do a “trash the dress” series to get those edgy shots? This doesn’t mean destroying the dress, the name may throw you off thou! well this is all my opinion anyway… you should go for who’s style you like more :).
