Did any of you or are any of you planning on wearing a skirt at your wedding? I’m waiting on my custom wedding skirt to arrive in the mail and in the meantime, I’d love to see any of your two-piece wedding ensembles!

I had a two piece ensemble…a custom corset and a skirt that i made. 😀 it looked like a one piece dress with a sash, though. I loved it!

cateyes: cool! if I could make my own I would for sure!
Anyone else have a two-piecer? My dress is set to arrive tomorrow and I’m very excited and would love to see!

jesssr: How did it turn out? Post pics!! I am doing a 2-piece as well but a little different. I’m wearing a mermaid gown with a custom tulle skirt on top. It will look like a ball gown and I’ll wear that for my ceremony and then take off the skirt for the reception. I am super excited but nervous at the same time. I hope the seamstress understood my vision and makes my skirt full enough!

LadyH: turned out even better than i imagined!

in my living room before the ceremony, testing the twirlability
my dress held up well at the reception too

Yes and I am obsessed with the idea! I just ordered my dress so you will have to use your imagination…but I love that I will be able to eventually wear both pieces (and of course the belt as well) separately for later celebrations like anniversaries. It was seriously like I was creating a “bridal” outfit, with each piece being something I picked out at the shop from different designers/collections.
Here is the corset – which I am wearing tucked in.
Here is the skirt, which is a blushy pink type color –
And here is the belt!
