Looking at DJ’s I want the usual stuff, good customer reviews, willing to use a play/ don’t play list  etc. Past that though I want the one I am comfortable with who seems able to take control. I worked in catering and saw soooo many DJS mess up an evening because they never asked the bride who was announcing cake cutting, toasts etc, and the bride assumed the dj would take care of it and then everyone is standing around waiting type thing.  I would want a DJ with some sort of worksheet for who they announce, how to pronounce names, timeline of the evening etc.

I’m sorry, I haven’t worked with either.  If you’re looking for a DJ who’s fairly priced and does have quite a few online reviews (Yelp, Wedding Wire, etc.) check out DJ Big Fun – http://www.bigfundj.com/

Not only are their reviews FANTASTIC, but their pricing is super awesome and they don’t make you pay in advance.  You pay them within 30 days after the wedding.  (I swear I don’t work for them, but we have booked them for our November wedding upon a friend’s recommendation).

Good luck with your search!
