To me, it was definitely worth the extra $100 to get my old ring enhanced. Even before I laid eyes on it, it was worth it for the peace of mind alone.

I have a 1ct unenhanced round moissy and I LOVE it! I hardly see any yellow in it and thats only when im really looking for it on a cloudy day or in funky lighting….

My moissys are all unenhanced and I think they are beautiful as is.  As others have said, I rarely notice any color.

@ames12708:  I have an unenhanced 1 ct round brilliant solitaire. The only time I notice color is when the stone is reflecting the color from its environment, ie if my hand is near my yellow or green shirt, or it’s overcast. For the most part it’s a beautiful whitish grey. Agree with the comments on how it does in artificial light. It’s amazingly radiant!

They weren’t even offering enhancement when we got my ring. But one thing to watch out for is to figure out what type of treatment the stones get if they are enhanced and if that’ll effect how you can handle the stone in the future. For example, you might have to let your jeweler know not to heat the stone if your ring is being resized to prevent a loss of the enhancement (some enhancements will fade if the stone is heat treated).

I personally feel moissy is far more beautiful than diamond. And while some might diss it for being a cheaper lab created stone, it has to be lab created because it’s made by asteroid collisions and thus too rare to mine naturally. Lots of other great things about moissy, but I’ll spare you all that since I’m sure you’ll read about it elsewhere.

Show us a picture of whatever you go with. I’m sure you’re going to be thrilled! And even if for some werid reason you’re not happy, most moissy retailers have great exchange or return policies.

By The Way: Here’s my ring. It was the first such ring the jeweler had made so it’s immortalized in his eBay listing. I have to say I was unimpressed by the listing photos. But it looks 1000% more beautiful in person with the way it handles light.
