I got the car seat and stroller combo for my baby shower, and then I also got the shell stroller that the car seat will clip into which is much lighter…. I like how light it is but I wonder if it is really worth it or if I should return it for other items. I was just hoping to get your opinions and experiences. Thanks!

Does one push better than the other? I’d go with the one that was easier to maneuver.

My sister in law has 2, same situation as you except she asked for both. She uses one outside and for long walks and one basically for when she’s somewhere like a mall because it’s lighter to transport. To be totally honest I don’t think she uses either one much at all.

@peachacid: The heavier one moves nice and has more of the extras….. the light one is just supposed to do the job and be easier to take in and out of the trunk….thanks
@MrsSawyer: thats what I’m afraid of…. I think I could put the money towards something that would be used more often… thanks!

Oh and to add.. the real life of your stroller comes from toddler age until they are old enough to walk everywhere so you want a quality stroller for that. As long as the one you have doesn’t weigh so much that you can’t lift it, I would personally probably return the shell stroller.

I have a friend who has the “shell” one and swore by it until he outgrew it. It was great for shopping and quick trips where she didn’t want to take the baby out of his carseat.

I had a travel system, but wished I had just bought the car seat and the shell stroller and skipped the stroller that came in the travel system. I never used it once DS was out of his infant seat since i bought a jogging stroller and we use that for everything now. Think long term – will you use the travel system stroller once your LO is out of the infant seat? It is easy to use and does it meet your needs? If so, return the shell stroller.
The exception might be if you are going to travel a lot, since it can be much easier to travel with a shell stroller with infant seat. But if that isn’t the case, then I’d return it.

@mrstilly: Thanks!! We aren’t bg travelers…. and I might want a jogging stroller in the spring….. I’m leaning towards returning it…
@Candy_Nee: thanks! our other stroller also allows the car seat to clip in… but it is also for use once she out grows the car seat….its just heavier….

I personally think 2 strollers might be a waste especially when you can return the other stroller for something you can use. I only bought one jogging stroller, I know it’s a little heavier but I couldn’t imagine have 2 to store/lug around.
