I have been dying to post my two wedding bands and ering for a long time but I can’t get a beautiful pic like most of you have. (I’ve tried my two cameras and my cell.) I don’t think you all will ooh and aah over it. I’ve just noticed that I haven’t seen any pics on WB of ering with two wedding bands or of rings that are like mine or even similar. I haven’t seen anyone in real life with this either. So, that makes me think my rings are unique and that makes me very happy! Interestingly enough, I see ads for my exact ering online all the time and so does Darling Husband. He sees them on his sports sites. With all that advertising, one would think just about every woman on the planet would have this ering.
Anyway, I have a .75ct. center stone ering with .25ct side accents. My favorite part of the ring is the ribbon details. I like that more than the diamonds. (I know, I’m weird!) The shank is pretty thick and I had a tough time finding a single plain wedding band that looked nice with the ering. They were all too thin and I felt the amount jewelers wanted for a custom plain band was too much. I guess because they would have had to use more gold. Because the ering shank is so thick, it wouldn’t fit into any wraps. Most jewelers didn’t even have flat style wedding bands to try on. I considered pave style bands but I felt more diamonds detracted from the ribbon detailing I love. (What woman doesn’t want more diamonds? Again, I know. I’m weird.) I was in a pickle. I just wanted a plain band that was the same thickness as my ering. After months of searching a jewler suggested two bands that weren’t as thick but would give balance. When he first suggested it, I thought it was dumb. Who does that? And what was the meaning of it? He insisted I at least try it. So, I did. I was immediately sold! My search was over. I love my two plain flat style wedding bands. I wear one on each side of my ering and I love the balanced look.
I still don’t know if there is any meaning behind having two wedding bands. I just like the look. Does anyone else have two wedding bands. If you do, let me/us see!
Here are my visible but not beautiful pics. And… I’m not careful with my rings at all. They get banged and scratched a lot in my day to day existence.
Here is the stock photo of the ering so you can see the ribbon detail.
