I’m having two weddings.
1st in Miami, FL 3.31.12 – We’re having a wedding ceremony & reception
2nd in Westminster, CA 4.8.12 – We’re having a Vietnamese tea ceremony & reception
We’re having two weddings because my entire family lives in FL and my FH’s entire family lives here in California. All of the wedding planning is just so overwhelming because we’re doing it all twice. Is anyone else in the same situation? Anyone want to vent? or anyone have any tips on getting through all of this?

wow, that’s quite a challenge.
Are you going to be able to transport any of your decor so that you can use it both times?

Wow! that’s a lot of work and money! My entire family lives in NY/NJ and FI’s entire family lives in MI, so we are just having one wedding and his side will have to travel for it. I did have two separate bridal showers, but I’ve never heard of two weddings. Good luck!

@kala_way: We’re going to transport only a few things such as the cake topper, bride & groom chair tags, wedding dress. The FL wedding is going to be a rustic purple butterfly theme and the CA wedding is going to be a cherry blossom theme.
@MrsTVLover: It seems like your route is a million times easier. lol I haven’t heard of any other brides doing the same thing. We’re lucky that my family is happy to provide a wedding for us in FL and his family is happy to do the same for Cali. Everything is just a little hectic because we will need to at least make one trip to FL again before the wedding. Our next trip will be our one stop shop… we’ll meet with all of our vendors. Have our food tasting, take our engagement pics with our photographer, and shop for some decor items too.
