- Wedding: May 2013
OK, so I have posted before about my trouble finding shoes, being a size 4 womens, and wanting very high sandal wedges for my spring wedding.
I have narrowed it down to two choices, and I just CAN’T keep both, since I’m a poor grad student saving my pennies for a wedding! 😉
The first is this:
These are very comfortable, have a very stable platform, and padded footbed. Cons: they are pricier than the other pair, I’m not crazy about suede, they aren’t as high as I wanted (3 1/2″), and they are just a hair too narrow which is forgiven by the gaps in the straps.
These are the other option:
They are also very comfortable, but not padded in the bed. They are less expensive than the first choice, They are wide enough but just a hair too long, which is forgiven by the ankle straps holding them in place. They are 5″ heels, and I LOVE them… but I am afraid that the heel platform is too unstable for an outdoor wedding. I wish I could test walking outside BUT then I would not be able to return them and I really don’t want to waste the money. (I would not wear them often other than the wedding, since I’m on my feet all day with young children and in general I prefer comfortable flats over sky high heels on weekends)
In a perfect world, I could combine them to have a 4.5″ slightly wider heel, leather, the flower, and the extra-comfy padding all in one.
Which do you like better?
I am leaning toward going with the more sensible option, but I really want the height b/c fiance is 16″ taller than me and I really don’t want to look like a kid in a wedding dress next to him. Also, I am wearing a floor length dress and I have very proportionally short legs for my height = awkward to cut the dress off too short, it will look like I’m sunk into the ground. Ugh. Normally I don’t really care about being short, unless I can’t reach something, but being on display in front of so many people and having to look at the photos for years to come is making me obsess a little!
