Just thought I’d start another post for those of us who are in the TWW, but won’t know until after xmas. Is anyone else sad that you won’t know before xmas?
So introduce yourself–
- AGE (you/him):
- Current DPO:
- When you will POAS:
- How long TTC:
- What you did this month:
I hope to be in thie group. I am really hoping for ovulation this month. I am on CD 20 and starting having EWCM yesterday.
- AGE (you/him): 25/27
- Current DPO: Hoping for positive OPK today or tomorrow
- When you will POAS: Dec 28
- How long TTC: 4 months
- What you did this month: Charting & OPK. First month using both so it’s a bit trial and error.
- AGE (you/him): 27/28
- Current DPO: 3dpo
- When you will POAS: Dec 29th if AF still hasn’t shown up
- How long TTC: 1st Cycle
- What you did this month: Lots of BDing! Trying to just have fun with it since we’re just starting out- easier said than done:)
Can I just say, that it isn’t helping the TWW move any quicked when EVERY holiday party we’ve gone to people say “Ooooh you’re not drinking, are you PREGNANT?” 🙂
Post # 6
- AGE (you/him): 25/33
- Current DPO: 4 DPO
- When you will POAS: Maybe 12/25… what a nice Christmas present a BFP would be!
- How long TTC: 2 cycles thus far
- What you did this month: Charting, lots of BDing with Preseed, trying to relax (haha yeah right!), drinking wine if I feel like it
@drakela2: I’m lucky – I very rarely drink so no one suspects a thing when I don’t. However, I’ve decided to have my glass of wine every now and again (like once a week or so) until I get a BFP! I feel like I restricted myself from everything last cycle with the fear of messing with a pregnancy and I ended up with AF anyway.

@drakela2: I’m lucly too that I don’t drink much. Just tell them you are on antibotics and shouldn’t drink.
I can’t believe there are only 4 of us testing after xmas, but before new years
Post # 8
I’m sad that I won’t find out before Christmas too – especially since last year at this time was my first TWW. I was planning on testing on Christmas morning, but AF came Christmas Eve instead. Hopefully this year is better!
- AGE (you/him): both 27
- Current DPO: -1 DPO (or, I should O tomorrow, except I had ewcm today so who knows!)
- When you will POAS: 12/30
- How long TTC: Well, a year ago was my first TWW but we took January off and went completely protection-free in February.
- What you did this month: More BD than usual, but nothing else special 🙂
Oh girls, I really hope this is it for all of us!!

@roxy821: Charting gets easier. Are you using a program to help you? I recommend Fertility Friend.
@shimmerofheaven: I read somewhere that the baby doesn’t share your blood supply for a little while. So 1 drink a couple of times a week shouldn’t be a problem. However, just know that it may increase the chance of miscarriage immediately after implantaion (even before you would get a Positive on a test). But then again, there is a risk of increase of miscarriage with caffeine and I’m still drinking green tea. So take this advice with a grain of salt 🙂
@twodoghouse: Have you tried an OPK? It might help you pinpoint when you are O. And speaking as someone who is going through fertility treatments, sooner is better than later. Do you know for sure you are Oing (by charting)?
@PoliceWifeToBe: That’s sound like so much fun! I think we are on the opposite sides of the spectrum as far as baby making goes. I almost didn’t have Darling Husband in the building.
As for me, I’m 4dpo and I can’t stop eating! My doc has me on progestrone and estrogen suppositories, so I’m mimicking some preg symptoms. Slight nausea, acne, and I can’t stop eating. I’m usually good about stopping when I’m full (or almost full). I almost always bring a doogie-bag home from restaurants. But this week, I’ve eaten out 3 times. I’ve eaten everything on my plate and a few bites from the other person’s plate– UGH!

@shimmerofheaven: and @KoiKove: I don’t drink very much either, but I’ve found that since we JUST got married in October, every time I don’t have a drink in my hand people ask. No joke, one of the girls I work with said she felt like a coctail at like 10am (joking) and when I didn’t laugh she asked if I was pregnant…. *eye roll* 🙂
I feel like I am willing myself to have symptoms because I would love to be one of those lucky “1 cyclers”. My period is acting all wonky though coming off of BCP’s so we’ll see what happens. As my mom says, it’s not over ’til AF shows up:)
How’s everyone doing? I was counting my DPO wrong. Today I’m 7DPO. I’m having some symptoms like one boob hurting (my underwire is killing me), not sleeping well and some nausea.
I was hoping I would be strong and not POAS until 14dpo, but I think I might be weak and start at 10dpo.
@KoiKove: Sorry it took me so long to reply – I forgot about this thread!
I temped for about six months earlier this year, but I became so obsessive about it and it just made me constantly depressed. I go back and forth in the months since – sometimes I chart and sometimes I don’t. When I was charting, I was having very distinct thermal shifts and FF always gave me crosshairs, so I feel like I was ovulating just fine. Maybe in the new year I will try these OPKs everyone talks about! I have my yearly gyn appointment in early January as well and I’ll discuss it with her as well.
Hope you’re doing well – is this your first month with IUI? I can never wait to start testing till AF is due and usually start around 10-11 dpo as well. Crossing my fingers for you!

My period is all wonky because I’m just of BCPs so my TWW turned in to a 4 day wait. I’m hoping that my body regulates soon. Since I’m so early in the process I’ve decided not to chart or use OPKs this cycle, just BD regularly and enjoy the process. I’m hoping that the lack of “caring” (yeah right) will help!
@drakela2: I hope your body starts to straighten itself out soon! I came off of BC earlier this year, and my cycles were really long (well, by my standards since my cycles were always 28 days). I started at 47, then 42, then 34, then 31. I’m waiting to see what it turns out to be this month!
@KoiKove: I’m 8DPO today (almost 9) and my temps are weird. Nothing at all like last cycle. I’m trying my best not to symptom spot, so nothing to report here! In reference to your reply to my alcohol comment earlier in the threat (I forgot to look for a reply – sorry!), I figure that my stressing over what I could and couldn’t eat/drink/do/think was making me crazy and stressed… and a glass of wine once a week couldn’t be much worse than that, right? 😉 I start testing early too, no worries. I don’t feel any shame about it at all LOL. That makes it easier for me to justify! It’s just POAS! haha

@shimmerofheaven: I totally understand the stress of not doing or eating the wrong thing can just drive you out of you mind. I also try to keep in all in perspective– if a crack addict on the street can get pregnant, I really should just enjoy the medium steak and not over think it!
How’s everyone doing?
