what is a typical number of photos you ladies have gotten from an engagement shoot and how many photos do you expect to (or did) get back after your big day?
one friend of mine got 900 wedding photos back from a friend of the family photographer. and she got maybe 30 or 40 e-pics from another family member who took those pics. is 900 crazy? should i expect that? it makes 200 pics that my photographer offers look crappy lol.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We received about 170ish engagement photos and 550-600ish wedding photos from 7 hours of wedding day coverage. When I took some photography classes for fun, the professor was a professional photographer. He said that he would normally deliver 60-80 fully edited shots per 1 hour of coverage.

ooh i see. i should maybe add that we are getting about 3 hours of coverage. enough for pre ceremony, ceremony, traditional family shots, bride and groom shots on the grounds, and majority of a short reception.
granted, we are having a destination wedding in the virgin islands and only have a venue reserved for 3-4 hours. and may only have 20 guests.

Just had my engagement shoot and I got 85 pics back from a 1 hour engagement shoot. She took at least 350, but I’m guessing a lot were duplicates. I love the pics we got back, so no complaints here!

We have about 150 different photos that are changed into B&W, color, and a muted color format (so about 450 photos total). Haven’t had the wedding yet so can’t comment to that aspect!

A friend who’s an amateur photographer did our e-pics as a gift, we shot for about an hour and had roughly 25 pictures at the end (she took more, but that’s what was left after editing).
We hired a professional photographer for 4 hours for the wedding day – she gave us a free half hour of preparation photos, and then we had an hour of bridal party posed photos, and 3 hours of ceremony/reception. Total 429 edited photos from her.
