I’m in Portland. April is pretty early for Oregon, since it’s still cool and wet. I don’t know of any places that do U-pick that early, but the Wooden Shoe tulip farm in Woodburn sells cut tulips (obviously) and daffodils in April. You may be able to find a U-cut place by seeing who sells at local farmers markets and contacting them directly. I think you’re going to be pretty limited to tulips and daffodils at that time of year… But I think dogwoods and cherry blossoms may be blooming then.

I got flowers for my wedding in August from Swan Island Dahlias. I ordered cut flowers for pick up, which was so convenient. I needed 30 dozen, which is a lot of flowers to pick on your own. Something to consider! But I encourage you to look into local flower options. I saved a ton, A TON, of money by doing the flowers myself. You’re supporting local farmers. And you’re not wasting resources by shipping flowers overnight from around the world. As a note, my bouquet flowers came from dahlias from my parents’ yart – it’s not too late to plant bulbs for the spring and grow your own!
