Here is the new Uggs Wedding collection.
I have no idea why this constitutes a “wedding collection.” I thought when I opened the site that I would find the words “I do” or “Bride” embroidered on them, or some other type of wedding slogan emblazoned on the boots that I use to stomp around in the Pennsylvania snow.
To me, it seems like a marketing ploy. Because quite frankly, I am not seeing how these boots differ from the other Ugg boots you can already buy in stores, except for the color scheme, which was already prevalent in brands such as Bearpaw, or Journeys.
What do you guys think of this new line? Weddingbee has seen a lot of blogger brides post about buying Uggs for their tired, post-photo feet. Would you wear these for any purpose?

Personally, I have never been an Ugg person. I can see someone who likes them wearing them under a dress for a winter photo shoot or something after a wedding.

In my mind, Uggs stands for ugly. I wouldn’t be caught dead in Uggs.

I hate Uggs of any kind. Seriously. Despise.

I’m not nor will I ever be an Ugg person.

I like the slippers! Those look cozy. Not a fan of the Ugg boots though.

The slippers look comfy, but I’m not sure how any of this is “wedding” related? They’re just different colors. It’s definitely a marketing ploy.
I wore Uggs under my dress for pictures outside at my winter wedding, but they’re not the “typical” Uggs everyone is familliar with… they’re a waterproof style that is MUCH better for wearing in snow (did you know the famous Uggs style was originally created for surfers on the beaches of Australia? Not sure how they became a staple winter shoe considering they were never designed to stand up to the snow and salt in Canada, which kills them lol).

Totally a marketing ploy!

I prefer a treaded Bearpaw boot. I have never had leaks… or cold feet! And the soles are a thick rubber, not foam.

I’d wear the slippers, they look cozy

You ladies have so many opinions! This definitely proves there are lost of thinking women out there. Whether you like them or not, I love hearing why and your thoughts on marketing.

I like Uggs in general since I wear them throughout the winter, but I would NOT buy those. If I wanted to have Uggs in my wedding I would have ones I could use afterwards and there’s no way I would wear white sequin Uggs. I love the ones DeathbyDesign wore though!!

I absolutely LOVE Uggs! But not the kind in the picture…But I have had a pair of Ugg boots for 5 years now and I wear them all Fall and Winter and they are still in great shape! I also love the mocassin ones…and I have a pair of nice sandal ones, too. I agree with OP that it should have “Bride” or something written on this collection! Just because it’s white doesn’t make it wedding IMO.
