Awwwww. ((hugs)) I don’t but my sister does… she gets them quite often and sometimes has issues with getting them cleared up and they turn into kidney infections =(
Idk if you’ve tried Azo’s but they work great for the symptoms of urgency, burning, and pretty much eveything else that comes along with those ugly things!

I have been a constant sufferer of UTIs for years, I have had alot fewer of them if I am religous about going to the restroom immediatly after intercourse. I have started using an over the counter medicine from Walmart that has a slight amount of antibiotic in it, if I take that as soon as symptoms arise then I can, most of the time, avoid the bigger antibiotics.
Also, I went to a UTI specialist and she told me to avoid cranberry juice while having an active UTI as it changes the acidity of the urine and can actually agrivate a UTI. Cranberry can be used inbetween to try to avoid them.

Oh… I learned in my Micro class that IF… and I mean IF you could down a things of Cranberry juice (the real stuff) in roughly an hr that the pH will change enough to kill the UTI causing bacteria….. It’s medically true but definitely not the easiest of treatment options

Oh man…I used to get them SO bad. I think it was because I was dehydrated though…I used to party too much 🙂
Sorry to hear about this all happening to you! I used to get UTIs, and then a yeast infection from the antibiotics, and then get another UTI. It took getting a kidney infection for me to just stop drinking for a little while, and they went away!

I know it’s hard, for years I’ve had recurring UTIs. I’ve made a few lifestyle changes that have helped a bunch. Along with what others has said, I also try to wash down there before intercourse (I know, not terribly romantic). And, use water based lube, not petroleum based, and do not use spermicides. And, of course, drink tons of water!
