@little_d:  Were you parked illegally?

I doubt they towed for no reason.

@little_d:  I still don’t understand how they could almost run you over if you were on the sidewalk.

Think twice about taking this to the newspapers and your MLA. There is always another side to the story and often the “victims” don’t get a very sympathetic response.

@little_d:  Towing illegally parked cars can get pretty dangerous, and as a rule, nobody likes the man that hooks cars….someone else could have been flipping him off and screaming….it’s not like he knows who’s car he’s got….and if he did see you and sped away, it was likely out of concern for his own safety….fact is that in this transaction, you are not the customer, the parking authority is.

Right, OP I think people are trying to gently tell you that this is not going to get you the intended results, other than embarrasment. Tow trucks book it out of there. Let it go and don’t park illegally anymore, it will yield much better results than going on the warpath because towing service didn’t give 5 star treatment.

Good point! It could have been another idiot bystander involving himself in something that was none of his business.

The OP has already said she wasn’t on the sidewalk where pedestrians belong, so perhaps the driver had legitimate reason to speed away.

This could make interesting reading in the local papers though.
