I just want to rant a minute.
I FINALLY ordred my invites. I bought a groupon over a month ago. I paid $25 for $100 worth of vistaprint stuff. Woo-hoo, right? I got my save-the-dates for very little and they were lovely.
So tonight they had a 50% off sale, so I busted my butt after work to get everything ready to order so that I would really only have to pay shipping.
BUT to my surprise, after redeeming my code, I find out that I can’t use the groupon on sale prices. Only on orginal prices. The stuff I needed was on sale for $80 + shipping. With the groupon I paid $60.
I ended up paying almost the same amount!! I’m just so frusterated. I keep tyring to find ways to save money and it never works!
Ugh, I’m just stressed out and have so much to do. I already ordered them, so what’s done is done. I’m just a little annoyed.
Thanks for listening.

@thisorderistall: that is super annoying!! The fine print on groupon has gotten me before too… Ugh!!!

I had the same issue!
I bought a deal for VistaPrint for my Save the Dates, and was able to combine it with whatever sale they had going on.
LivingSocial just had a deal for $75 worth for $19, and I rushed to get everything together.
With the sale, I was going to get invites, enclosure cards, escort cards, and a couple personalized pens for $80–so I assumed it was going to cost an extra $5. When I input my coupon code, it took the total up to about $70, meaning that it would have cost $89 including the price of the coupon.

This didn’t work with my Groupon, but because the Living Social coupon doesn’t have any other sales associated with it, I was able to combine it with a 50% off link through retailmenot. Put the Living Social code into your shopping cart, along with your items. Then use this link to return to vistaprint and the things in your cart should be reduced!
Finding the best deals with vistaprint can seem like a science or a crapshoot, depending on the day 😉

@MissAusten: thanks for your help!

@MissAusten: How annoying that they void the free shipping part when you add the coupon though 🙁

@ThatOneGirl9613: Yeah, that part sucks! I had to use a spreadsheet to figure out the best combination of deals +/- shipping. They don’t make it easy!

To be honest, I find vistaprint very disappointing. I am trying to get tote bags for my Out of Town guests, and the pricing is just weird, and it’s not even that cheap, plus the site is buggy and they don’t allow you to enter a coupon, you have to go through a link that changes pricing. Too bad I already bought the Living Social coupon, Vista print is just too much crap to deal with.

@annabelle_lee: Don’t give up! I got 10 deluxe two tone tote bags, 3 iphone cases and 140 return address labels ($185.97) for $34 with free shipping. Plus I got 10 free other products. I used the 50% off retailmenot link once I had all items and the coupon/voucher in my cart. I made sure my total was above $25 still and got free shipping.
The breakdown went like this:
10 deluxe tote bags: 129.99 – 50% off – 64.99 *
3 iphone cases: 47.99 – 50% off – 23.99 *
140 address labels: 7.99 – 82% off? – 1.49
total: 90.47 – $60 voucher = 30.47 + tax = 34.36
I encourage everyone to buy the vouchers now because groupon hasn’t had them for the last month or so and today is the last day to get them from Living Social. https://www.livingsocial.com/deals/648372?ref=share-link-post&rpi=112734390&rui=22826940
*I already paid previously for the image upload, so there wasn’t a charge.

You can also get up to 10 free items per order by using their special free item links. Just google “site:vistaprint.com inurl:free” – and pick and choose which products you want. They are limited and sometimes crappy designs, but you can get a custom photo upload totebag and tshirt.
I used my $60 living social voucher and for $34 plus the $16 cost of the voucher got:
3 iphone cases – 8.00
10 deluxe tote bags – 22.00
140 caricature address labels – 50 cents (limited designs)
(this was the main part of my order)
1 FREE notebook with photo uploads (cherry blossom design)
10 FREE flat invitations (used as thank you cards – limited designs)
1 FREE totebag with photo upload
1 FREE t-shirt with photo upload
1 FREE sticky note pad (had to be their lame designs)
1 FREE stamp
10 FREE folded holiday cards (use as thank you cards-limited designs)
250 FREE business cards (used as thank you notes – limited designs)
10 FREE folded note cards (used as thank you cards – limited designs)
1 FREE notepad (limited designs) – i got stuck with a crappy design bc I could not find the good ones

I was pretty happy overall working with Vistaprint, but their site is so buggy!
I got the $17 for $70 groupon and this is what I got:
100 postcards (1 side color, 1 side b&w) – invitation insert
2 kids t-shirts (flower girl presents)
2 return address stamps (1 for us & 1 for a friend)
I paid 11.53 for shipping & 0.42 on the order. So the total is $17 + 0.42 + 11.53 = $28.95
It’s not like I ended up paying pennies on the dollar or anything, but I think I did okay!

Haven’t decided yet, but I may go back because I need a few more things:
- Photo uploading cards, i.e. a business card with the photo sharing website
- Rehearsal dinner invitations
- Was looking at their escort cards but I think they just look like a business card, not a folded placecard, which is what I wanted
Anyway, I don’t want to buy another groupon unless I know for sure what types of things I will get.

I’ve ordered all of our stuff through VP with Groupons and have had no issues and no bugs? No, you can’t stack sales with Groupons, but I found that out pretty quickly. I designed a suite of office products for a local business, they ordered from VP with no problems, as well.

@vorpalette: I’m not sure what you consider a “sale” at Vistaprint – there is always some sort of discount through different links, but you can stack groupons and discount pricing. You just have to put the groupon in your cart first, then go through the sale link to get the sale pricing. The groupon sticks in the cart.

@erichazann: No? Groupons (all four I have used) have to be used through a specific link that, yes, has discount pricing, as well, but it does not allow you to put in any more codes or go through any other links. It’s one or the other. For instance, I got an email from VP about a 50% off sale and had a Groupon, but I couldn’t use both.
