Did you already order it?

I adore Lazaro, and his designs fit in quite nicely with a black tie affair, so I think it’ll look great.

Do you have any photos of yourself in it?

@Sneakinsally:  I totally understand. I can never make a decision on my own, and although I new exactly what I wanted, it was way out of my price range. So, I opted to buy a dress that looked “nice” that was in my price range, and it felt good to check buying a dress off the list. I felt pressured to buy the dress….not because of the sales people, they were great! But because, I was running out of time, I had my family there, and needed to make a decision. As soon as I got home, I regretting buying it and hated the dress. It wasn’t even right for our venue. So, I made the bold decision, to go to a seamstress by myself (who specializes in making event dresses from scratch) and got her to make me a new one, exactly what I wanted. So far, I have paid for two dresses. BUT, my seamstress is trying to sell my 1st dress at her shop to help with the cost of 2 dresses. I think its kind of neat now, because no one has seen my dress, so it will be a surprise to everyone!

All I can say, is go with your gut. You don’t have to cry and jump up and down to “feel” that the dress is right. And yes, you will have to make a decision at some point, but don’t rush. Take some time to think about it and sleep on it.

@SpringDaisy5:  One of my best friends did something similar to this. She tried on one that everyone loved in the shop, but she was uncomfortable in. So, she went back by herself and ordered a whole new dress.

That’s the downside of having others with you in the store. Even if they’re not purposely pressuring you, their reactions/opinions can definitely overshadow yours without you even realizing it!

@Sneakinsally:  You are not chubby, but that lighting is terrible (prob designed to make brides feel bad about themselves…don’t give into it)!

I don’t think it looks like a prom dress, but I can see how it looks a bit pageant-y. It will definitely look and fit better once you get it in your size and have it altered (if you still want to commit to the dress).

Honestly, I don’t think it’s making your figure look the best it can, but even minor alterations can make a world of a difference!

Honestly, not a huge fan of the dress or the way it looks on you. The color is so drab to me personally. I like off white, but that kind of looks gray. Or maybe it’s the lighting…

In the end, it’s what you want that matters! You’re the bride! Go for what makes you feel beautiful! If you FEEL beautiful, you will BE beautiful!

Good luck!

@Sneakinsally:  Aw, take a deep breath, it’s ok to be who you are. I think it looks like a pageant gown only because the sample you tried on is too short. The mermaid shape is a classic bridal style, so I honestly don’ t think anyone will think “pageant/prom” when they see you in your dress!

It looks beautifully detailed, and I can’t wait to see the fitting progress. 🙂

Btw, what are you afraid people will think? Everyone has different tastes/preferences, but even then, your guests will love your dress because you are wearing it (and that’s truly what counts).

And I’m still SMH at that awful lighting!

I wouldn’t worry about what people think, the pnly person that matters that day are you and Fiance 🙂

I’m wearing something I tried telling myself was NOT what i wanted, bought another dress to please others, regretted…have it for sale now because I got one I love. It doesn’t *fit* my venue per say but I don’t care, I love it…and I’m never doing this wedding thing ever again so it’s go all out or go home lol

Picture yourself on that day. If you see yourself in that shillouette, then I think you have made a good choice, if not go back to the drawing board.

@Sneakinsally:  Do you even like your dress? If you really don’t, then I think going back to Kleinfeld is the best idea.

BUT if you do like your dress and you’re just caving under other’s opinions, then maybe you should think about things for a bit and see if you’ll still be confident wearing your dress on your wedding day.
