Damn ebay, I was randomly browsing used wedding gowns (because I’m addicted to wedding planning) and I bid on 2 dresses that were under $100 each in my size, just for funsies. Well, I already won 1 of them, and I’ll probably win the other too! And I already have a dress at home (that sucks)
I can’t decide if that was the dumbest thing ever, or a super good investment. one dress retails for $500, the other like $1400, and I like them a lot! I’m just not getting married anytime soon is all
Anybody else way over-buy stuff on ebay? It’s so tempting.

i would not be buying dresses now if you’re not planning on getting married soon and if you’re not absolutely in love with the dresses. i kept on buying dresses because of the whole “it’s a great deal” and i ended up with four dresses. I’ve sold two of them but I would have saved myself time if I didn’t just go around buying dreses.

I have never done the weddding dress thing on e bay but I once got into a bidding war with someone over a “Life is good” baseball cap. I won it at $42 but then went to the website and saw that it sells for $25. Arrrg! LOL

This one closes in 3 days at $50, it’s a Watters (above)
And this one (below) is a galina from david’s bridal that I’ve had my eyes on for while before, I won it for $35

Given that you spent less than 100 dollars for both, I think you scored.

Think of it as an investment. You can sell the ones you decide against. Now you have options and they were pretty cheap so don’t beaat yourself up for it.

Hi…my name is Holly, and I’m an ebayaholic. I have issues buying clothes for my Daughter on ebay. but who can pass up deals like a silk dress for $13.00?? or leopard print velvet gauchos for a toddler? Not me…that’s for sure! My drug of choice is Janie and Jack…beautiful clothes!!

Can’t you retract your bid? I thought I have seen that on e bay somewhere. The Watters has 3 days left depending on what you bid it may go over.
Who knows…maybe you can resale them for a profit!

Wow! Sounds like you got awesome deals on both! I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Both gowns are beautiful. I’m sure you can resell them if you really want to.

Psh, thats an awesome deal! I’ve spent more than that on a dress for a party that I never even ended up wearing.
