I’ve actually been finding myself in need of much help from the bees lately…
This is my dress http://www.oncewed.com/39853/used-wedding-dresses/size-12/sue-wong-drop-waist-lace-gown-12/ (that’s the only place i could find a picture of it anymore!)
and my veil: http://www.etsy.com/listing/64656403/champagne-wedge-birdcage-veil-with
I’m currently looking at something like this http://www.organicbouquet.com/p_721/VeriFlora-Certified/Flowers/Charitable/Keep-America-Beautiful-Iris.html?subCatId=21 or this http://www.organicbouquet.com/p_2405/Eco-Friendly/Flowers/Mixed/White-Petite-Bouquet.html?subCatId=358 because my wedding colors are blue and silver and irises are about as blue as flowers you can find easily get and the white ones because i’m quite possibly the most unimaginative person ever.
Here’s my problem: I’m afraid the irises will be too busy with all that’s going on with my dress and my veil, but i’m afraid the white ones will make my dress look dingy–you can’t really see too well from the picture, but the dress is really quite ivory, not even close to white. Soo…what’s a girl to do? Pink’s an option but i’m really not a huge fan. I could mix the white and the irises to dilute them both a bit but beyond that i really don’t know.
Does anyone have any ideas??
Thanks ladies! I appreciate your help 🙂

I think the irises will look really nice against your dress!
if you want a different blue flower, what about delphinium?

Noooooooo!!!!! I found the perfect flowers last night: http://www.californiaorganicflowers.com/product_426 and http://www.californiaorganicflowers.com/product_117
PERFECT right? Except neither of them are available any time after early april! :'( They have a wedding pack of dahlias which i would also love…however they’re not available until June.
Trying to buy organic sucks sometimes…

I think the irises would be pretty. It stinks, but in general, there are not many blue flowers that exist. Like with Dahlia’s, there is no such thing as a blue Dahlia. But they have some that are a certain shade of purple that it is close to blue. I love anemones, too but am getting married in July. If I was getting married in May, I would do pink Peonies. But i know you said you’re not a huge fan of pink! If you like the Irises, I would stick with those. I don’t think it will be too busy.

I saw a pic of a bouquet of Muscari, which looks like this. It is blue, but not sure of the availability of it, especially organic!
But then I saw this bouquet with Muscari and really thought it was beautiful.
It said the bouquet has muscari, tweedia, nigella, delphiniums. It has anemones, too which you said are not available. But maybe you could do something with some little wildlfowers like these and muscari and irises. Your dress kind of has a vintagey vibe to it and I think something wildflower looking like this would be gorgeous!

scabiosa is generally available as an organic. you could also use hydroponic roses if you’re trying to avoid pesticides. If you buy locally, you most likely will get an organic flower instead of what’s produced on the larger flower farms.
Volkenfreiden is a canadian version of belladonna that has an electric blue tone.
Is it blue you are looking for? I don’t know where you live but in late may you could hit lilly of the valley, lilac, peonies, and hydrangea right out of someone’s backyard if you are trying to go the non corporate/pesticide way. 🙂
