TheGridMonster: Your hands look like a Palmolive model. Exit the thread with a quickness.

All of your hands are beautiful! Not only because they *are* beautiful but because you have them (yay) and they work (yay yay!) and you can use them to scratch and eat and touch your loved ones! Here’s for having beautiful, working hands, ladies! ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep using suncream.

I’m 53 and my hands aren’t too bad I got sunburnt repeatedly as a child but I’ve used suncream since my twenties and it does help. Don’t forget to protect your neck too.

Size 6.5 is the average ring size for women in the United States so by no means is a size 6 big.

lavender-reveries: I understand what you were saying about how you feel a little uncomfortable about your ring size. (Sorry if “uncomfortable” is the wrong word; it’s all that came to mind.) I feel that way, too. Especially here on WB, where it seems like so many people have a size 5 or lower. Of course, my ring size is larger than yours, but many of the ring posts make me feel like a gigantic amazon or something.

I’ll never give up looking at the bling, though! LOL

I think older looking hands are so much more pretty and elegant than my young mushy hands! I think my mom’s thin and long and yes a little veiney hands are the loveliest hands in the world to me! I honestly am so looking forward to my hands looking older someday! ๐Ÿ™‚

jellybellie: I have wrinkly hands too, I am a hairstylist so my hands are constantly getting wet and theres no way for me to make it any less wrinkly even with a ton of cream. Dont let it get to you ๐Ÿ™‚ Just know we are on the same boat. From the picture you uploaded it actually doesn’t look so bad at all. =) Cheers

This thread reminds me of when I got engaged and sent a pic of my ring//hand to my best friend, she replied: “Nice ring! But how the hell do you have the hands of a teenager!?!?!” (we were both 34 at the time) and I replied: “I filtered the shit out of that picture, duh! You think I would share a REAL pic of these mangled old mitts?? Are you nuts woman?!” lol

Hands will give away your age quicker than anything else. Lots of women might have been really careful with face/neck with sunscreen but neglected to do the same with their hands. I see it often, great youthful skin (and maybe they’ve had a little work done too) on their face but they have the hands of a witch. That’s not nice to say, but I can because I will be one of them with the well cared for face and witch hands. I admit that I don’t take care of my hands and I’m not about to start.

My ex sister in law had several laser skin resurfacing treatments on her hands to make them look younger.

I consider my ageing hands (and the rest of me) a ‘prize’ I get for not being dead yet. I’ll take it.
