I’m a bit neurotic about germs, and I am aware that I’m in for a rude awakening when I have my baby, however I asked my neice to use hand sanitizer before I held her hand across a parking lot.  There is no way I’m letting my kids or any kids I’m in charge of rub their hands all over anything.  Ugh.

Ewww! And I know all parents say you can’t judge until you are a parents yourself, but I can’t see myself ever thinking this is okay.

Ya that’s nasty, most normal people hold children up to the box and ask them to pick BEFORE you open it. They can point all they want through the glass and them mom can get the donut.

That’s really gross. I would have said something, and I’m sure the mom would have gotten all huffy but really, that is nasty.

I was taught at a very young age that if I touched something I had to take it (like if there was a plate of brownies or something like that) and I couldn’t touch every single one. It’s just basic manners.

But really, that was for home gatherings not bakery type places open to the public. This is a 2 year old. Really, the parent should ask the kid which donut he wants and then use the tongs to get it for him.

That’s not all parents, that’s one extremely inattentive mother. Gross. That’s why I love going to Dunkin Donuts, all my precious donuts are protected from the public lol

This is why in those self serve places, I always use the tongs and take from the very back of the case. But after reading this, it’s going to be a while before I have an appetite for self-serve donuts.

Oh that is so gross.

I don’t care if, at home, my kid touches something I’m going to eat, because a) we share all kinds of germs and b) I can be reasonably certain of the last time she washed her hands. If one of her friends touches my foor and I didn’t very recently supervise a good handwashing… No thanks.

I don’t consume anything that’s left out in the open for the public to infect. Germy hands are absolutely disgusting but childrens germy hands are even worse since they’re often found up noses or down pants.
