I’m equally afraid of buffets. I saw a kid once with his hands down his pants, scratching his rear and crotch..then pull his hands out and run his hand along the soft serve ice cream nozzle to get the left over ice cream and lick it off his palm.

Aren’t you glad you got there in time to see him touch all those doughnuts.

Ick! I hate it when some parents think their child doesn’t have to follow social norms. Yes, I know he/she’s a “special snowflake” who needs to “express his creativity” but keep his hands off my food!

Eww. I’m not a huge germophobe, but… eww. Let your kid touch every donut you have AT HOME.

My stomach is getting sick just reading all the responces. Ewww!!!

If it was me and saw this I’d pass by them several times thinking of something clever to say. Even if my mind went blank I might just  hand her the tongs and say “These might help” and hopefully she gets it.

Some parents think their kids have no germs. I work as a cashier at a bookstore that also sells toys, and more than once I have had parents hand me a toy to ring up that is totally covered in slobber, without warning. I catch everything so it really pisses me off that they think I would ever want to be handed a drool soaked toy. I would have said something to the woman, thats so unsanitary.

I have also seen young boys wandering around the store with their hands down their pants then play with the toys we have out or get books to look at. I keep hand santizer with me everytime I work now.

ew!

that is so disgusting for an adult to allow! a two year old has no understanding of how germs are spread… it is 100% nasty for the mom to be okay with her kid doing that!

Lets just say I have worked in childcare, and I know just how gross kids are! Hands are usually in pants/diapers, noses, and mouths, and no amount of handwashing prevents them from being germy!

Buffets gross me out. I try not to think about other people handling my food in general, because I have also worked in food service.

Most people are stupid/disgusting in regards to hygiene when they think nobody is watching… how much worse for a mother to not give a s*** about people WATCHING her son touch those donuts! Ick!

You could have always gone over to the mother and accidently sneeze on her.
