I don’t usually wear orthotics, but I do wear sensible shoes. My favorite is clarks. They have some old lady ish options but some cute stuff too, I promise!

what about mary jane pumps? I’m assuming you have to be concious of the heel hight on them. (because trust me I have some gorgeous Nine West ‘mary janes’ that are 5″ heels! lol also… look at the crocs website… They have a lot of cute styles now (nothing like the hideous originals)

My mom always swore by Keds brand. The plain, white canvas ones are kind of cute too.

Have you looked at Clarks? They have some really nice, super comfortable shoes. I got black suede pumps (almond toe, thick heel) from the Artisan line and they are stylin.

@LilacViolet:  Yes! Clarks is the best, along with Aerosoles.  I have psoriatic arthritis, and Clarks and Aerosoles are the only things that keep me able to walk without being in tears. Seriously well worth the money.

I wear wedges. My podiatrist approves of wedges.

@SpecialSundae:  Actually these might be more platformy… I have no idea… They’re a quasi-wedge-platform…thing…

But they’re sandals, so no orthodics anyway LOL. Sorry I’m no help

Is there a Payless in Scotland?  I swear by these heels.

Ah, just read where you need something with straps.  Low-heeled Mary Janes are an option, and I’d strongly recommend low wedges, as they support your entire foot.  Unfortunately, all this style of footwear will still wreak havoc on your feet and joints over time.  Something flat is the best thing you could do for yourself.  Converse, Puma, and Sketchers at least make comfortable, sporty-type shoes that are stylish.  I know none of these are as sexy as the hotness you’re used to wearing, but at least they’re comfortable and better for your health.
