A little over a month ago I purchased my very first dress from Ann Taylor. I was so excited because it was uber comfortable, a pretty color I had been wanting to incorporate into my wardrobe for awhile, and it actually reached my knees. Bam. I loved it.
Since then I’ve probably worn it about three times. Today was one of those days. Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking. It’s an empire waisted, sheath style dress and I am very pear shaped. This dress shows absolutely no waist definition and it makes my butt look ridiculously huge and wide from the side. I noticed it earlier when I was in the restroom and I feel not only enormous, but I can’t believe I ever wasted money on it. A part of me is tempted to keep it just because I know I bought it so recently, but the realistic part of me knows I’m never going to want to wear this thing again. From now on, fit and flare dresses are the only things makes it into my closet, everything else I try is always a disaster.
/Rant.
Can anyone relate or share your equally irritating first world problem stories?
