Enjoy being engaged!  And enjoy the time you have to plan.  My SO and I having been planning on getting married Fall 2015 since May, and he STILL hasn’t proposed.  I’ve been telling him forever that I would like a year and a half to plan.  Well… I officially booked the venue because he was taking too long to propose.

Feel lucky you get to take your sweet time!

livelaughlove94:  Go to wedding shows! I have been engaged for a year and am JUST starting to be able to plan now. Over the winter and last spring I went to a couple different shows. You get to shop around for the best vendors and win prizes. So much fun (did I mention all the free cake and wine samples?)! Also, just think of all the time you have to plan, so planning won’t be as stressful. Two years will fly by, believe me 🙂

livelaughlove94:  Summer of 2016?!? You’re going to change your mind on SO many things between now and then. Colors, flowers, music… you’re probably going to have songs played that havent even come out yet.

You can do something I did in the meantime… I went through all my pins on Pinterest and grouped together different ideas that “went together” because I had a lot of different ideas I liked. Picked a solid direction and deleted anything that didn’t fit.

It’s cliche but true that you really need to just enjoy this time. We’re getting married less than a year from the proposal so I had to start acting fast. It will be stressful so I would take advantage of the opportunity.
