Your dress is beautiful and looks great on you!  Don’t forget its YOUR wedding, you do whats right for you and what you like.  You’re not putting the wedding on to please others πŸ™‚  Rock it!

It is a lot of dress, but I think its stunning!! Its gorgeous. I would have responded to your friend with, “I know, right?! Laughing

I got a comment similar to this earlier this week. I was wearing my large face Michael Kors gold watch and a girl said “that is a really big watch…” and I said, “Isn’t it?! I love it! πŸ™‚ ” My confident response kind of threw her off and I think most often this type of response works best in these situations.

The dress is beautiful!

I’m sure you know this, but stop showing people your dress! They can wait to see it on your wedding day or afterwards in pics (when I think people are also less inclined to be critical once they see the whole look!)

@sleepyhead22:  I was honestly expecting to open this thread and see a giant poufy ballgown that literally swallowed you up.  That doesn’t seem like too much dress to me at all.  It’s stunning and looks absolutely perfect on your figure.  I know it’s hard to ignore comments like those, but try to put it out of your mind.  You’re going to look gorgeous on your wedding day!

Try to take it as “Thats a lot of dress…..for me” (as in her). You look amazing, and many other people also liked it and just imagine how great you’ll look when you’re all ready on your big day. Focus on that Smile

You are like me – a million nice comments and I focus on the bad one πŸ™‚

I like the dress and from the front it doesn’t seem like ” a lot of dress”, but the side does (not in a bad way though). I would just recommend not showing anyone your dress. Not only does it keep more suspense for your wedding day, but it also prevents you from having to hear any possibly negative comments.

@sleepyhead22:  I think you look beautiful! Ignore your friend! What designer is the dress? It looks like one I tried on and loved!

It’s beautiful! A wedding dress should be super special and not just an everyday dress, so I think “a lot of dress” is perfect! When else can you wear a tulle dress?! Forget that girl- she obv has different taste than you and doesn’t have a clue about being tactful.

All that really matters is that you love the dress and feel good in it. Other people’s opinions don’t really matter. beautiful dress btw, :).

That is a ridiculous comment, your “friend” clearly hasn’t looked at many wedding dresses, lots of them are 3x as big.  PS I think it’s Enzoani Debra and I am dying to try it on, it’s gorgeous.  And I do not want a lot of dress πŸ™‚
