Queen_Jovee:  I ordered a dress from light in the box a couple months ago. Took about 15 days to arrive. I paid around $43 in duties/customs fees for a $100 dress.

The dress itself was decent quality and as advertised on the site.

My sister, one of her friends and I all ordered dresses for our BMs from there (over the space of two years-ish) and they all came out great.  We all went with the custom measurements; quality is good and maybe because each set was ordered in one go, colour matching of the fabric is excellent.  My dress for my sister’s wedding did have to be taken in slightly but that was because I’d given her bigger measurements in case I put weight on!  We were all really happy with the results.

Like pp’s said. The quality was decent and the price was good. Duties/customs was about $60 on a $130 item. Just know that they send a lot of promotional emails so be prepared to do a lot of deleting/get removed from the email list.

Queen_Jovee:  I have ordered quite a few formal dresses from there and I find the quality for the price is really good.

Most of the negative reviews seem to be around the standard sizing and customers just ordering their normal street size. I have only ever ordered custom sizing, it is slightly more (I have found no more than $10) but worth the piece of mind.

I was going to do my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from there.  My sister ordered her’s and while I loved it online it didn’t look right on my sister.  They were really easy to deal with returning it though!

Not to thread jack, but do you all photocopy your ID when they ask for it? I placed an order and they asked me photocopy various pieces of ID and the cc as well. I thought it was a bit odd and cancelled the order. Just curious because you all seem to have had a great experience and I still want to chance them.

FinallyHappening2015:  That seems really odd – I didn’t have to photocopy any ID or credit card – however ISTR I paid through Paypal rather than CC – you could try that?  I wouldn’t be sending them copies of your ID or CC!

I paid $40 duty on a $70-80 (don’t recall) dress.  It arrived promptly and was pretty good quality.image118

I ordered custom dresses from there for my BMs in July 2014, and they turned out great and fit perfectly with no alterations needed. Excellent price too. I was really happy with the dresses, although the color was a little different from what I originally envisioned from the swatch. Didn’t end up having to pay any duties on them either.

My wedding dress was from there. I had to pay extra import taxes (about  $50) as well but dress was beautiful and very high quality.
