@bikukii:   Good point.  Photoshop can correct that lighting and contrast issue.

That one is gorgeous! I see a chin and cheekbones! You look beautiful.

I can relate a little. I dislike quite a few of my wedding photos. I had my make up professionally done and at some point one of my fake eyelashes started peeling up and no one told me. It’s in a ton of photos and it looks stupid. I’m so self conscious about it that I haven’t even put up one photo from our wedding in our house.

What are you talking about? I see great bone structure in that picture, especially checkbones! I think you are just being way too critical of yourself. You look beautiful!

You look beautiful. Please listen to all of us and remember that you are your own worst critic. You should absolutely share. With the build up, I was half expecting a snaggletooth, a mohawk and 14 chins. You look like you were a beautiful bride. <3

You look so beautiful!  It makes me really sad that you don’t see yourself the way we see you.  Honestly, the waves of your hair, your dress…you look gorgeous.  And I definitely see cheekbones so I don’t know what you’re talking about! Please post more pics, the setting is amazing too.

ETA: I wouldn’t have a reshoot, it’s impossible to recapture the glow you had that day–the only way I’d reshoot is if something terrible happened to the pictures and they didn’t come out or something.  This doesn’t warrant a reshoot!  Hey, instead of posting one you don’t like, why don’t you post one you do like?

@freckles5672:   Hope you don’t mind.  I made a minor adjustment or two in Photoshop – is this any better to you?  (It’s not you, trust me – you’re beautiful – but sometimes the light can get a little wonky).

Uhm your dress is amazing and you look beautiful!  I think your hair look great and I totally see your cheek bones and jaw line.  Try not looking at them for a few days and then going back to them with “fresh eyes”.  When we got our engagment photos back I HATED them.  There were so many and the majority were not great so I was super bummed.  Then I went back through and picked out my favorites and put them in a seprate album.  Once I saw all the best photos away from the not so flattering ones I loved them!  Its hard because as women we can be so critical of ourselves!

I’m going to second all the feedback here and say you look beautiful!

I think Sunfire is right, there are some shadows that are problematic due to your location NOT your looks!  I ran into a very similar problem with my photog who took pics of me with an overhead light in a very dark hallway at our gorgeous historical hotel.  I felt like the overhead lighting was really NOT flattering for a 36yr old bride… but I digress.  My bra was showing in a ton of shots too!  I wanted to kill him!

Honestly, if it’s really going to bother you, pick a couple of shots that you like the composition and pose of, and ask your photog to work on taking some of the shadows off your face.  I can do that in Adobe Lightroom myself, and I’m NOT a pro.

Also, if you really want to schedule bridal portraits, why the heck not?  What a lovely excuse to get all made up and wear your dress again?  Even if you loved every stinking picture, that would be a fun day!
