@mspartridge:  Why do “they” create hideous bridesmaid dresses in the first place? I’ll never understand…

Well….beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What is ugly to you might be beautiful to someone else! 🙂

Maybe so that it makes the bride look even better in contrast?

I read the title as “ugly bridesmaids woes”  hahha! I’m so glad it was a dress you were calling ugly, and not an actual bridesmaid!:)

What’s the dress?

Bear in mind, for every dress out there someone will think it’s gorgous and someone will think it’s hideous.

I don’t think I have ever seen an ugly Bridesmaid or Best Man dress! However I’ll be the first to admit my dress sense is nil Wink

Having never been a Bridesmaid or Best Man and have ALWAYS wanted to be one (close friends and family either had family BM’s or none) I would wear ANYTHING and just smile and feel honoured that I had been chosen, and I would happily have paid any amount – despite the fact that BM’s don’t pay for their dresses in the U.K.

My Bridesmaid or Best Man had the same view….when I asked her what kind of Bridesmaid or Best Man dress she wanted she replied “You could tell me you wanted me to walk down the aisle in my underwear and I would do it for you”
