So I broke the dress rule. I didn’t stop looking once I purchased and now I feel as if I could have picked a better dress to fit my personality. I do love my dress, but I am so in love with the newer polka dot style gowns. I am wonder if there is maybe a reception gown I could buy so that I could still wear my original wedding dress. However, I have a pretty strict price point now that I have bought one. Anyone know of some cute polka dot wedding gowns or even a nice replica of one? (I have saw a really nice replica one somewhere on here of the Maya). Thank you bees <3 Here is my dress.

I’m feeling the same way. I wanted a ruffled dress and ended up with a satin one (very traditional). I love your dress by the way, you look fantastic!

I love your dress!!
I know what you mean about breaking the rule.
I had wanted a lacey, light dress for my wedding but ended up purchasing Casablanca 1881. Completely opposite. I like it a lot, but because I practically stalk any dress posts on here, I fell in love with Amy Michelson’s Grace. Lacey, light & airy, and absolutely gorgeous.
But it is and was waaaay out of my budget. I still think about it though when I see pictures of myself in my 1881 dress. Alittle bit of dress envy.
Good luck with your search! 🙂

Thank you! I do love my dress. But when I looked at dresses I didn’t even know polka ones existed!! 🙁 I just think getting a reception gown might ease my mind as opposed to completly replacing my original gown since I do love it. Now I just need to find one at a good cost and quality.
I was considering the betsy from honey pie boutique

After many deep breaths I am starting to accept that my dress is my dress 🙂 It also helps that I am pretty much out of time 😛 August 21st is not so far away!

I bought this adorable dress on OnceWed because of its polka dots: http://www.oncewed.com/23071/used-wedding-dresses/size-6/tea-length-polka-dot/ But it doesn’t fit and I’m getting ready to sell it. PM me if you’re interested. It would make a perfect reception dress though your dress is beautiful!

The honeypie dress is adorable, it would make a very fun reception dress, or maybe even a get away dress (if you are planning on making an exit from the reception).

can you use it for something else? I mean I don’t think you should buy a completely new dress!
