I’d go pee on a stick RIGHT NOW just to see. You never know. If your periods are irregular, you COULD have enough HCG in your system. Or not. Who knows! Then, I’d pee on a stick in a week and see. If it was positive though, i’d go see a dr for a check up test.

Missing 4 pills probably makes taking BC, in general, almost useless. Cuz if you miss 2 pills, you aren’t protected for up to a week. Can you try keeping it by your bed? I set an alarm on my phone, also, right before bedtime, and I can’t miss the super bright turquoise box when I turn in for the night.

Four pills is a lot. I would do a pregnancy test and go from there. The getting up to pee thing though is just fluke. If you were preggers, nothing is large/heavy enough to be pressing on your bladder just yet, that typically comes later on (going from my sister’s pregnancies, I don’t have any personal experience in this area!). The more you think about it the more you’re going to find symptoms, etc that fit. You won’t be able to put your mind at rest until you do a test.

yeah 4 pills is a lot to miss!  If you get through this, always use condoms in the future if you miss more than 1 pill….not to freak you out, but peeing a lot was one of my first symptoms…go take a test and then you and your Fiance will have to sit down and figure out what to do.

spotting after a couple of missed pills is normal, and unless your coming up on your second trimester, the potty thing is prob in your head(it happens to me EVERYTIME i have a scare), so treat your body as if you are preg, and go to your ob asap, if you are preg, you’ll wanna stop the pill, and if not than you wanna talk about easier bc methods.. i suck at taking the pill, so i got the mirena(love it, but not for everyone), the nuvaring is pretty easy to use too.. so best wishes and go to your doc, because a home preg test could be false if taken too early..

Did you miss 4 pills in a row or just 4 pills spread out over a week or month?

@McihelleMyBell – if you are having *real* symptoms this early (vs. just random stuff you are noticing) you might be able to get a read this early.  True you won’t relax until you get your period – but go get a multi pack, take one today and the every other day or so until your period comes.  We have all had many scares but in case this is real, you probably do want to know ASAP.

Also, think about whether you had sex with your SO about 2 weeks after the start of your last period – that is most likely the time you ovulated – if not, you are most likely in the clear….

I might suggest buying a pack with a few tests in it and doing some first morning void tests, maybe this weekend and early next week.

I really hope you have an outcome that is favorable to you, whatever that may be.

I actually had to switch from the pill to the patch  (back when I was still on bc) because I was so bad a remembering to take the pill.  I missed four or more pills a month many times, and it did usually cause some spotting and occasionally other unpleasant side effects like nausea.  My body did not like having its hormones fluctuating chemically like that, I guess.

Still, like the others said, taking a test would certainly set your mind at ease one way or the other.

There are tests out there that are accurate before that.  I know I’ve seen commercials for ones that you can use 4 or 5 days before your missed period.  Keep looking. Get a multi pack and do one each morning for the next couple days.

I set a daily alarm on my phone to remind me to take my pill- maybe that would be a better system for you?  But I also notice if I miss one or am late taking it, I get spotting, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that until you have some solid evidence.  Plus, all the worry could be what’s making you nauseous. Good luck, and whatever happens, you and your Fiance will get through it together.

I would imagine it’s mostly due to missing pills. I’d just figure out ballpark when your period was suppose to show and then wait till after to test.
